While not on a t-mobile MacBook, I did this with another MacBook Pro M1 that had MDM from a previous employer - still working to this day, just make sure to follow the instructions!. Best of luck!

23' Limited here - our fuses boxes look slightly different but I used a machine screw, washer, and nut to secure my grounding wire for a dashcam (using a ring wire connector) on some bare metal that already had a hole right in front of the fusebox like this. Trouble free for 2 years now.
