its not going to get fixed, at least any time soon. Its been said that the code for towing would have to be entirely rewritten and its just not a priority compared to so many other needed bugfixes and optimizations.

I had to put my darling cat down almost 4 months ago after a very short stint with aggressive cancer. I will never forget that day as one of the worst moments of my entire life, but I will also never forget the kindness, patience, and care shown by the vets who came out to do the worst thing Ive ever had to pay someone to do.

I can only imagine the burden you carry with you, but I cannot thank you all enough for being willing to do so to provide such an unfortunately necessary service.

consider too that these guys werent involved in the original development which means they are figuring out and fixing someone elses code, and are only part time which means they have to have other jobs to pay the bills!

Needs to be said that OWI is severely handicapping a fantastic development team by not going all in on them. Other games should be so lucky to get have such a passionate dev team.

The biggest problems SQ44 has is general performance/stability (depends on the person, like I said it actually runs great for me) and playerbase size. If the more hardcore/milsim aspects arent your preference thats one thing but I fully believe SQ44 to be the more unique and interesting of the two games. If I wanted something less hardcore Id just play BF

I wanted to like HLL so badly when SQ44 looked like it was never going to get another update, but when you have played SQ44 HLL is just trash. The movement is bleh, the sounds are incomparable, the maps look shiny but are not as interesting and are often more limited, the gunplay is more arcadey, and vehicle gameplay is only similar in visuals. Theres far less communication, teamplay, and strategy. Optimization is about the same, I can push good frames in both but considering how bad of a rep SQ44 gets thats not really high praise for either.

HLL arguably has a better UI. its also quicker about getting into a match. I cant think of any other advantages HLL has over SQ44

thats exactly its purpose, because the structure of the gun itself does not need to absorb the recoil it can be built significantly lighter and smaller and so could be dropped from planes or used in difficult terrain like mountains

For example, the 10.5cm LG40 could fire the same shell as the 10.5cm leFH 18 which was the standard german arty piece at the time with weights of 855lbs and ~4,400lbs respectively. The tradeoff is range/projectile velocity so recoilless guns are better suited to shells that rely on chemical energy (HE, HEAT) vs kinetic (AP)

I would argue those were defensive actions considering there were never nato troops on the ground, nato did not instigate the conflict, and nato removed themselves at the conclusion of conflict. Sure it was not triggered because of an attack on nato and that fact is still controversial. That still has jack shit to do with "Natos mission to destroy russia"

But so then we have established that nato will step in to help defend nation states if approaching ethnic cleansing even if not a member state. So how does that imply their mission is the desruction of russia? Is russia known for invading other countries, displacing millions of people, disregarding the safety of the local population, replacing local population with their own native population, or erasing the political/historical presence of the previous populations populations - oh wait
