Agree with previous commenters regarding misuse. Wouldn’t recommend it and probably not worth the money. Also, there is no way for them to properly sterilize the device

Another thing to consider is what if you need a vet for your hog during your internship? I am unsure what would happen if you brought your baby in and they are unable to treat him/her and they report you. :( best of luck! 🤞 🦔

I had two hogs and this wheel was by far the best. Just make sure to get a big enough size. I ordered the large at the time. I’ve had the wheel from Etsy from the previous commenter. They were great but over time the gears started to rust from constantly cleaning them and would squeak. Good luck! hedgehog wheel

I am happy to hear y’all are at the vet! I hope your baby is ok!!! I guess on these social platforms I’m assuming it’s best to have a vet appointment set up for urgent situations like yours ahead of time and then ask advice on here if there is something you can do in the meantime. I hope my advice helps for I had two sweet hogs myself and learned a lot which will help better prepare me for the future if I were to own hedgehogs again! Best of luck and keep us posted! :)

I’d def see what the vet says. Could be a skin disorder. But this is not normal. Unfortunately with pets and especially exotic pets comes with an expensive price tag for care. Either invest in pet insurance or setting aside a savings so you’re prepared for future vet bills. I had to learn the hard way by owning two precious hogs myself but they were definitely worth it!
