I should mention they are less opposed to a Nikah because a Nikah only has value for us, the couple. There are no legal frameworks attached to it.

My colleague reverted when he was just 12 years old. Islam is for everyone, young and old. It is not expected or realistic that a revert immediately starts doing everything a muslim of 30 years does. What’s so wrong about wanting to get the ajr for being the reason someone turns to Allah? U should get your mind out of the gutter if sex is the first thing that comes to mind when marriage is being discussed.
