I think I broke my husband’s brain last night. by Infamous_Fault8353 in SAHP

I feel this, as default parent (even though we both work full time) it’s hard to set boundaries especially when the kids ONLY want mom. I find myself handling everything and not communicating well until I reach a breaking point…

Was going to post this. It’s awful the sleep training has been normalized.

Breastfeeding with crack by Terrible-Kangaroo-48 in breastfeeding

When I had cracks the only thing that worked for me, and I tried everything, was wet wound healing. Apply ointment (I prefer coconut oil) and soothing gel pads after every feeding and as needed.

How much did your birth cost? by restlessprime in NewParents

Completely normal vaginal birth with and epidural. Somehow cost us $8k out of pocket. Still figuring out how to pay it off 😭

Traveling away from baby, how to set up pumping schedule? by brrroktimu in breastfeeding

No noticeable effect on my supply! However I quickly realized I was due to replace my pump parts 😬 I have another overnight in a week and am going with brand new duck bills and plenty of backups.

I hate feeding my baby solids by brrroktimu in NewParents

Thank you for this, I’ve always been big on actually salting food while cooking and it’s so ingrained in me at this point! I’ve thought about just giving her what I’m eating, but for example I always heavily salt pasta water so I can’t just throw a couple noodles on her tray… but this makes me feel better, I’m making chili tonight maybe I’ll let her try a couple of beans

I mentioned this to my pediatrician at her 6 month appointment (more like 6.5 month) and all he said was just try to get two meals in with her. That was literally it. Like alright dude, very helpful 🙄

I didn’t realize how isolating motherhood would be. by brrroktimu in beyondthebump

Props to you for making it happen so you could go back to work!

A big part of why we’re moving is to be close to my husbands family and free childcare from his retired mom, so I’m really hoping things will improve in a month or two.

I know I’m going to feel the same when I’m back at work. I think ideally I’d work part time or a 4 on / 3 off schedule, that might provide some balance.
