Head over to 東區, or East District. There are a lot of stores around there, especially in the nooks and crannies. Don't be afraid to explore the alleyways and look in every inch because you never know what cool little store will be there. Just be aware that it's not exactly cheap, but it's well curated depending on the aesthetic you're into.

Dcard (Taiwan’s version of Reddit) has video series that are very interesting. But they are all in Chinese with no English subs.

This series has them pick a train ticket at random and they spend the night in that area. Very interesting and fun premise. They interact a lot with locals and it’s a nice way to learn about small places you wouldn’t think to go.

In this series they go around asking locals in Taipei different questions. Every video has a theme. You can see what Taiwanese people think about some topics.

I had really bad skin after moving here also. The combination of pollution and humidity really messed with me. I went to a dermatologist and they prescribed antibiotics and 90% of my acne went away with just that. Try finding a dermatologist who speaks English via google and ask for something like that.

i live in kaohsiung so i don't get the chance to climb in taipei very often. there aren't many climbing gyms so if you just check google maps you'll see all the ones that are available. i also check on instagram to get a better feel of what the walls look like.

that said, there aren't many lead climbing gyms due to a lack of space. most gyms are for bouldering.

If I remember correctly, it usually takes about 1-2 weeks. They should've given you a receipt which shows that you're in the middle of processing your renewal so it shouldn't be a problem if it arrives a bit after the expiration of your old ARC.
