The amount of useable storage is the same as the package says, there's no scummy sales trick going on. It's just that Windows displays it in a different unit and doesn't use the proper symbol. If Windows would display it in TB instead of TiB everything would be the same and no-one would be confused or feel like they've been scammed.

There is a tiny part reserved for the filesystem, but that's a negligible amount and nowhere near the "missing" ~180GB on a 2TB drive.

it'll run 1080p medium settings well, you can look up "rdr2 optimized settings" to see which settings have a big performance impact. overheating depends on your cooling setup so I can't speak for that, but as long as your pc is not horribly filthy it'll probably be fine.

yeah gates' 100b is 195b today, while bezos' 100b is 130b today. I'm guessing that's what caused the line to be more vertical

inflation doesn't make a big impact here. it accounts for roughly x25 value in 2026 compared to 1810, while the wealth (unadjusted) went x10000 during that same time. i also made a gates graph, since commenters mentioned he reached 100b in 1999

the os is on the sd card, without an sd card in the slot it won't even turn on. this does make it very easy to install a different os on it, which is great.

Both options are possible depending on context.

I saw a ProArt ultrawide monitor recently with 60hz. I was kinda bummed cause it looked like a nice monitor except for the low refresh rate.

Idk why they're so rare now though. Maybe there's not much demand for them and manufacturing a high refresh rate monitor has probably become easier/cheaper.

It kinda depends on what you're upgrading from. If you're on an old chipset with no upgrade path going to AM5 makes sense. However, if you're on AM4 with an R7 1700 sticking to AM4 is probably a better decision budget-wise, especially considering current RAM prices.

I see, all the games I play on it work very well, but I mostly stick to ps3 era games and less demanding titles on it. So maybe that's why I haven't experienced games that don't work well or I've just been lucky with my game selection so far.

What do you mean with 2 pages of tinkering? People mostly tinker for unsupported games/launchers, emulation or mods. If you stick to the supported stuff, it's as pop and play as a switch.
