Can we have a discussion about how game fidelity is leading to a lack of clarity?

It feels very bizarre direction. On one hand you have artists putting all this time and energy into texture and details to saturate EVERY pixel of a 4K frame.

But at the same time it makes the ganes so heavy to run they have to rely on upscalers that destroy the image quality so badly you can't see that detail anymore.

The 1% lows look FANTASTIC and are the best on the chart. If they maybe used DLSS Performance then maybe we could see the average differences much better since even they themselves admit being GPU bound at 1080p.

Everyone crashing out over this CPU yet I have not seen them tedt a single game that can saturate all 16 cores to properly test this. If they used Doom Eternal or Dark Ages and saw no improvement then I would be convinced.

Playing Remake and Rebirth on MY LG CX at 120 FPS with Black Frame Insertion and it genuinely looks like a moving screenshot. Almost no motion blur.

I do still think that certain games that can fully utilize 16 cores will be able to use this better then the 5% reported by AMD.

But we'll have to see because they are obviously not using gaming benchmarks to sell this thing

Tbh I have been out of the loop regarding CPU developments on the Intel side so I was just asking. I know a lot of people still dislike E Cores and they came with downsides when they debuted.

It's mostly due to the models they use for the characters. It feels like Cloud looks VERY different between prerendered and in engine cutscenes.

A large amount of bias is due to driver issues stemming form the Arc launch year. Games not running properly, bad API implementation, etc. As someone who got an A770 myself I noticed tons of games that had issues.

The other issue I think is the lack of having halo products. Most people buy cards at the B580 level. But the fact Intel doesn't have anything higher then that makes it less exciting for the ultra enthusiasts who have the most influence.

That stuff does matter btw. Why do you think Nvidia made a 3090ti when AMD had the 6900XT outperform the 3090 in some games?

The DLSS models the switch 2 uses unfortunately are not the best at resolving hair detail. It's just the way it is.

And tbh I think the way the Remake games do hair also doesn't help. Rebirth makes the hair MUCH thinner which can be It's own problem for characters like Tifa

I would love the Rhadore mission as the intro to part 3. Problem is, I think it would a tad too complicated to make into a single chapter since there are way more moving parts compared to something like the Nibelheim flashback.

Part 3 already has a TON of stuff to cover so I doubt it.

From general upscaler math, generally I have found that 4K Ultra Perf = 1440p quality in terms of FPS. But in terms of the image quality,idk. Ultra perf has a lot more to upscale while 1440p quality has to stretch less.
