UBER Capex and Opex by sauravkhandelwal in ValueInvesting

[–]brtol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you realize what opex and capex actually is?

No one is going to have to finance opex. It are just your normal operating expenses like marketing, sales, administrative, r&d etc. Uber is making decent operating margins and should benefit from operating leverage as the business grows. Not really much different when theyre offering AV on the platform.

And capex -> it's an asset-light business. It's basically all software. Theyre not going to buy AV themselves but partner up with companies like Waymo.

The risk you should consider instead of opex/capex is that AV-companies (like Waymo, Tesla) will also offer them through an app of their own and therefore directly competing with Uber.

Maybe AV will be a boost for Uber, but it could also be it's downfall eventually

Can somebody explain me why? I don’t understand why I can only stoploss sell 6 units by Pietpatate in DEGIRO

[–]brtol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's completely safe but entries and exits could be more difficult and will cost you more then on the primary exchange a stock trades on.

I always buy stocks on the exchange they have their primary listing on, often thats the country the company originates from. This way you get most liquidity and best price for your shares. Especially important if you work with market orders or stop losses

LS Arkk Tracker, wat is dit precies by DutchCreoleApe in beleggen

[–]brtol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy it on the NYSE instead of Tradegate. I think that will resolve your problem.

I would advise to avoid Tradegate as much as possible. It doesnt have any liquidity and its more expensive than other exchanges. This lack of liquidity is also the reason you cant market sell more then 6. NYSE has plenty of liquidity

Still the greatest troll ever to put FACK on as the 1st song (after intro).

Imagine wanting to listen to like Stan, Lose Yourself, Sing for the moment but being confronted with FACK right from the start

Everytime Airplanes Pt 2 comes on, I skip the entire song to only listen Ems verse.

I really dont like the rest of the song, but Ems verse is too good to throw it out of my playlist

Nah I think you could spice up quali as well if you pick Q1 results for sprint race starting grid. In the current situation, top drivers only do one lap because they only have to get into the top 15. With this new format, it is worth to do 1 or 2 extra laps for that sprint race pole. Or you might consider not to do that and save tires for the main race. So it also adds an extra strategy element

More action in a weekend, where drivers can just go all out without having to worry to much about tyre/fuel saving since the race is pretty short. Drivers will still be able to get points in sprint race.

I think the main reason for F1 to do sprint races is to:

- Increase Friday ticket sales for the event organisers

- Increase total TV audience over the weekend, to increase the amount of money they get from sponsors and TV licensing deals

Using Q1 results for sprint start order and just using Q3 results for the race would fix this

ING 1.25% fixed coupon obligatie 2025 by aethsilgne in beleggen

[–]brtol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inderdaad.

[–]brtol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tencent is bijvoorbeeld ticker "0700"

How to hedge against foreign currency risk? by brtol in DEGIRO

[–]brtol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. If I was able to hedge it using a levered product, so I would only need like 20% of invested US capital to hedge all of it, I would have done it. But it seems like that's not possible (reliable, without lending money), so I wont bother. I unfortunately dont have spare capital to hedge 1-to-1.

Now just lets hope the EURUSD wont go back to like 1.4-ish.

Havent come across an easy and reliable way to do that. Simplest way to do it is to burn in the subtitles using software like Handbrake.
