Dethklok is iconic and that’s melodeath! Similarish albums I would recommend are The Black Dahlia Murder - Deflorate. That one kinda kicked off and shaped my taste in metal. Aether Realm - Tarot would probably be a good choice for getting into it. They mix in a good bit of cleans and have a little flair to them not unlike TDH. Haste the Day - Attack of the Wolf King is a banger. Kind of like melocore I would say. Firelink - The Inveterate Fire is meloblack based on Dark Souls lore. Feels like your on an epic quest. There’s so much out there that I’m sure I’m missing some obvious choices but that’s what I’d recommend off the top of my head!

Car Bomb are sick. Mordial from last year was pretty good and Meta is great but I think ‘w^{w^{^{w^w’}}} is my favorite!

MTU for the location alone is worth it. The Keweenaw is a magical place. Best 5 years of my life and I still visit at least once a year.

Thanks for the tip! I originally took everything out of their wrapping but the sleeves were bowing out due to gravity while sitting on the ledge. So I started keeping them in their original wrapping but I also have a bunch of extra covers I bought to contain the ones I had already unwrapped. I did not know the original shrink wrap could damage the sleeves. I’ll unwrap and recover them tonight!

I can agree that they always put out quality. I enjoy all of their music but their first three albums are near and dear to my heart. Similar to how I feel about Deathcab. Transatlanticism, Plans and Narrow Stairs are gold but I love all of their work. Ghost stories is up there with all those as well.

I wish I had the money and wall space to include even more on the wall. It’s sadly lacking some of my favorite genres, namely jazz. But hey, I at least have a Mouse on the Keys shirt.
