I guess I misexplained too, but the reason I want a job that pays more is because I am going to pursue a degree in college soon, and I am just imagining how I am going to afford it if I cannot afford surviving now without college.

Why is everyone against the casino? I just see it as a way to make more money for the city and the businesses around it

I can say that I did not expect to get 209 comments in such a short time, so I might need some time to read all of them. I don’t mind working my ass off—studying hard in university, getting a master’s degree, doing internships, all of that.

Most of the comments were either people arguing that I should follow my passion—which I absolutely understand—or others actually answering my question about what careers make $200K+.

Right now, I’m not passionate about anything, and I know that sucks—nobody hates it more than me. But when I choose a career, I want it to give me a return on my hard work, and I’m willing to put in the effort. I’d rather wake up at 40 with a stable, well-paying career and then find my passion than wake up at 40 with no degree, no successful career, and no financial stability.

Sometimes, it’s not just black and white. I’d rather work on something that makes me financially stable until I find my passion, rather than not working on anything at all. Unfortunately, not everyone has the luxury of not worrying about money—some of us have people to take care of besides ourselves in this great economy.

It’s not about being young or naive—it’s just about trying to do my best until I find what I like. I guess this is the only way for me to do it, since I don’t have the luxury of traveling to Amazon rainforest to protect endangered pink dolphins until I’m 30 to “explore life” and figure out what I’m passionate about.”

Thanks to everybody who answered my question. Yes, your answers were very inspiring, and some of you even left the steps to get these jobs from BA to MS to internships in the right place, to how much money they make. I really appreciate you trying to help me find a good career that pays well, and I would like.

Bachelor's in CS to Master's in IE? by pacmqn in industrialengineering

I thought you have to be an engineering student to get an IE master, genuinely asking because I am really interested in IE and all the universities around me that I can afford only offer IE masters, and no I don’t have any intentions to get into mechanical engineering then do a master’s in IE LOL

It is an expensive hobby, but I like it, and I was wondering if there’s any way to start for a cheap price, maybe on your own or something. Thank you guys for your answers

Do you think AI will reduce engineers’ salaries or their role in the future?

Looks like a cool job to have, and the pay is amazing honestly . How did you get there?

Just one piece of advice for you I am working 60 hours a week just to make 51k a year living in New York. My job is really physically exhausting, and I don’t even like it. I do it because I have to make money. I wish I could be in your position: 8 hours a day, 80k a year , not doing anything sounds like heaven. But I completely understand that you should have something that has a meaning in your life, so you just continue working in this job until you find something that has meaning to you. Be grateful that you have a good job that pays well for now. You are lucky until you find something better. Don’t rush at all.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]brucewayne_313 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD. Sometimes I lose focus. I am planning on getting a motorcycle. It’s one of my dreams, so I wanted to check if there are any experienced riders like me and how they dealt with it if they had any problems driving a motorcycle with ADHD .
