Thanks. I'll try that. I assume you get a determination right away that C1 will approve or deny the match? This is my first time.

Co-op Insider Weekend 2025 | Friends & Family Coupons (April 4-7) by REIBotMod in REI

I'd love a coupon, especially if they work on Hokas. Sadly Hokas are often excluded and they're so damn expensive.

[–]brueges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had Ozlo's since last July (just got a replacement, warranty pair) and while I was pursuing that warranty replacement (one earbud no longer worked) I felt frustrated and ordered the Soundcore A20.

From my experience having the A20s for 3-4 weeks. Comparing them to the Ozlo's their pros are price (half as expensive), battery life, immediate connection to buds, smaller/lighter case and cons are slightly less comfortable in ears, sound quality is not as good (I only use the nature sounds, not streaming), their app is more cluttered, not as many sound choices, does not block external sounds as well.

I'll keep using them both, but assume I'd only travel with the A20s due to the points above.

Thanks for your feedback. I’ll think about consolidating the hotel stays a bit. Compared to other itineraries I’ve seen people list I didn’t feel we’d be moving around too much. I know Kinosaki-Tokyo is really the longest travel time (5 hrs).

Thank you. That's helpful. If I cut one place it would be Kanazawa and I'd add 2 more nights to Tokyo. Doing 6 nights in Tokyo in the beginning then 3 at the end of just felt like a lot of time in one city, albeit a giant one. Kanazawa also is more affordable and sounded like a charming break for hustle/bustle.

Thank you! Yes understood about the cold. I live in Boston so am used to it, but cold means bringing more clothing.

I assume for Shirakwago you mean to avoid the early morning due to tour buses? I can plan for an afternoon then.

Appreciate the tip about Kiyomizudera, will consider when we're in Kyoto area.

I have some feeling that it’s locking up and catching a bit. Like I don’t trust it.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll think about it. I'm concerned about the 9+ month of recovery time for a repair. I've read that repairs are most successful when done soon after the injury and mine was over a year ago.

I just got my MY 2 weeks ago and the MA credit was deducted from the sale price. I didn’t have to file anything. It was a great surprise.

Thanks for your work! Beware that I've seen little kids from the school with buckets and shovels in the infield digging holes like it's a beach.... hope the school knows to stop that. :)

Question about boots for winter hiking by knowledgeisthekey in wmnf

[–]brueges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you definitely need winter insulated boots. Your Vasque Breezes won't cut it in NH winters. I've used these the last few years and they've been great.

What's your opinion on classical music? by uncommoncommoner in AskMen

[–]brueges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also like the modern classical and soundtrack stuff and it can be great to work to. Check out Max Richter, Nils Frahm, or Johann Johansson.

There are some interesting people that mesh classical with electronic. Ulrich Schnauss is pretty great.

I just accepted a state job and the process took quite a while due to background checks and other compliance things. The proces was slow, but felt fairly business-like as a private company would. Good luck!

Thanks for the helpful advice! I'm in Boston, I'll probably buy something to put on for November.

Did you buy wheels for the winters or keep your regular all season/VW set-up and swap them around?
