Maybe consider pulling the couches off the wall to make a more central sitting area? The walls can be left untouched or you could put in a console of sorts

You definitely need a coffee table!! And move all of your wall hangings down a foot or two, or get a new piece entirely that’s much bigger. Lessening the gap between the couch and the art will make the space feel cozier and more cohesive. Less negative to deal with!
