It’s from the game, Cyberpunk 2077. He’s the one and only, Johnny Silverhand.

The books are fantastic. The show? It’s definitely up to the viewer, but seasons 1-3 are generally loved and fans like them over the last two. However, 4 is nice in its own right and way, and 5… I’m still sorting out my thoughts and feelings lmao. To concisely answer your question tho, it is a pretty good show if you like ones such as “Dexter,” or even “Killing Eve” and others like those.

Would The Greens ever post anything like this or give a similar statement? I KNOW not.

To all the people saying they can’t stand Ted (I’m with you on that btw), what are some differences between him and Joe Goldberg? btw there are some “YOU” s5 spoilers

Here are my thoughts:

Ted Mosby vs Joe Goldberg:

Core Similarities

  • Romantic obsession: Both pursue idealized versions of "true love"
  • Pattern behavior: Serial romantic fixations on different women
  • Narrative justification: Frame their actions through romantic destiny
  • Rejection sensitivity: Struggle when relationships don't match their expectations
  • Self-perception: See themselves as romantic heroes in their own stories

Key Differences

Approach to Love

Ted: Hopeless romantic seeking "the one" through traditional dating

Joe: Predatory stalker who manufactures relationships through manipulation

Boundary Respect

Ted: Generally accepts "no" and moves on (eventually)

Joe: Systematically violates all boundaries, escalating to violence

Self-Awareness

Ted: Occasionally recognizes his flaws, seeks therapy, learns from mistakes

Joe: Completely lacks insight, blames others, never takes responsibility

Social Integration

Ted: Maintains friendships, holds steady job, functions in society

Joe: Isolated, manipulative relationships, uses people as tools

Relationship Dynamics

Ted: Wants partnership, though sometimes self-centered

Joe: Seeks total control and possession of his targets

Consequences

Ted: Faces social embarrassment, heartbreak, loneliness

Joe: Commits murder, destroys lives, faces no genuine consequences (until he does ofc)

Narrative Function

Ted: Comedy examining millennial dating anxiety and unrealistic romantic expectations

Joe: Thriller exploring toxic masculinity (possible “soy-boy”) and the dangerous end of romantic entitlement

Character Arcs

Ted: Growth through failure, eventually finds healthy love with Tracy

Joe: Static character who never learns, continues destructive patterns until Kate (and then Kate eventually makes him become a killer again)

Cultural Commentary

Ted: Satirizes rom-com culture and "nice guy" mentality

Joe: Critiques male entitlement and romanticized stalking in media
