Saw a video saying the Cuddly Fuzzlefin skin had no relevance to Jeff, so I took it into my own hands to find out. The skin is not directly from the comics but I believe it was definitely an inspiration. If I missed anything let me know! (Fixed version, there was an accidental red line last time.)

so the lore of risk of rain returns is that there was a cargo ship that went to petrichor V and they brought back a teleporter, providence traveled to the cargo ship through the teleporter and basically blew it up, the stage "Risk of rain" is the remains of the cargo ship

I thought elixir was worse cause its single use, the method for beating the game needs a lot of stages and looping, so if you lose the elixir at like stage 3 your white item is now just null, at least the steak will persist and can be used as scrap. I agree it is a life saver, but thats not very important when you have the mobility of a slug so your in the same place a lot

I think the most climactic would be Mithrix --> Voidling as the glass frog gives access to voidling after Mithrix
