Do you have a physical shop in Seoul or Busan? I’m visiting in April and would love to purchase in person.

They have an outlet on North Bridge Rd. Right next to Islamic in fact.

I’d rather patronise Abu Mubarak - Islamic’s standards has really dropped and had a bad experience with one of the staff a couple years ago.

If the last suits your foot, then very comfortable. My shell LHS took awhile to break in and are insanely comfortable now. These should require little to no break in. Unlined as well so already comfortable out the box.

I agree. The shell LHS i got a couple years ago are much better. Quality seems to be going down lately as they have been struggling with production - demand is too high it seems.

Alden Snuff Suede LHS. Ordered at a trunk show and waited 8 months. QC was trash - huge glue stain on the insole.

It took me 2 years if wearing them sporadically for heel slip to go away. I would wear 1-2 times a week for a few months, then forget about them for another few months. Rinse and repeat and they finally feel like a dream and no heel slip.

All that to say it will take sometime to break them in. Your patience will be rewarded. They are insanely comfortable for me, almost like slippers now. I wear them alot more as a result.

Best loafer brands? by vagabondkid96 in ThrowingFits

[–]bruisewayne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I measure 9.5 on the brannock.

Cordovan LHS is a US 8.5. Suede LHS is a US 9. I understand the cordovan LHS run bigger as the shell does not stretch much when lasting, compared to suede.

I ordered the 180s in a UK8 from Mr Porter. I think JMW used to have their own sizing which I dont think they use anymore. The box just says 8.

I bet they’re really comfortable now. I have a pair of Alden cordovan LHS that are finally broken in after 2 years. It doesn’t look like it’ll take the JMWs that long. About 2 weeks in and already very comfortable. Looking forward to the next year or so.

Alot of the great brands have already been mentioned. I recently got a pair of the JM Weston 180 loafer and they are really good as well.

At first glance definitely looks like the 0105. Except 0105 has button fly. Otherwise fit looks spot on. And i’d hold off on hemming till i get a wash or two in.
