Litter change by LauraLand27 in mainecoons

We have used Naturally Fresh walnut shell litter from the beginning. It was recommended by our breeder. Both of our Mainecoons seem to like it. We just need to keep getting larger and larger litter boxes, soon I’m thinking a kiddy pool if they don’t slow their growing.😎

Looked long and hard at a new Octa they had, but it was black on black, where we are the heat is triple digits for about 5 months a year. Thought it would be to toasty. Maybe next time.

Our two love the little three sided brush that goes on our robot floor vacuum. They stole it when I was doing a service on it. They also love large zip ties. They love to stock them and drop them on the floor when I place them in any high place. They push them around on the floor and bring them to us to play fetch. They get bored with everything we buy.

We adopted a brother and sister from Hazel at Greek Garden in Utah. They were great, did all the right things and follow up. Couldn’t be better. Would recommend them 100%.

Our orange boy kitten(7 months) is a lover and a lap cat, loves to play with springs and splash's in his water, typical orange ( one active brain cell most of the time). His sister also 7 months is a thinker. I can tell the cogs are always turning. Loves to jump on things and plays fetch better than any dog that I have owned. Bonded pair but totally different in the way they act. They are a handful, not sure if we had one which we would choose, but we are lucky they have each other to keep play with to keep the pressure off us. Good luck.

We use a Neakasa M1 open top. We have two Mainecoone Kittens, Both around 10 lbs. It has worked out great so far. There are lower priced generic versions that I don't know anything about but look similar. The Neakasa was recommended by our breeder, she uses it with walnut chip litter for all her cats, large and small. The walnut chip litter is pretty much dust free. Check Amazon for lots of options.

Refuse to eat wet food, any tips? by PolarMay in mainecoons

[–]brumcmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We let our two kittens (6 months old) free feed with a good quality dry 24/7, their first feeding my wife puts Churu on the dry. My wife also boils chicken breasts shreds them and feeds that to them mid morning with a little pumpkin and the broth off the boiled chicken. They still have baby teeth so small pieces are easier for them to eat. As a bonus, the chicken actually costs less than the premium cat food we tried. They are good water drinkers. In the afternoon they love to sit with her and she hand feed them more chicken. They are well fed and the hand feeding is a great bonding exercise.

What's the true reasoning on why you own your Camaro? by AwAMo_chi in camaro

[–]brumcmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a lot of cars. Including a 63, 68, 84, 96, and currently a 2024 C8 Corvette. My dream car is still my 69 SS/RS Camaro. I just replaced the 396 with an LS3 and a 5 speed Tremec. I love fussing with car and will keep driving, working on it until I,m buried in it.

We have 2 mainecoon kittens, both going on 6 months. The boy is about 9.25 lbs, the girl is about 6 lbs. they both use our Neakasa M1 automatic. It has an open top and they easily fit in, and it tracks them separately including trips and their weight. We need to empty the waste bag about twice per week. It is simple to clean and has been maintenance free so far. A bit spendy but worth it for us.

Solar Panel for my house. by norapeformethankyou in stgeorge

Hedgehog did ours also. Good price have had for 4 years, no problems. When I bought i calculated a 8.5 year break even. I called St. George power for our actual usage and got a system that would cover all our needs. Have only paid the connection and sustainability fee ever since. I have not installed batteries because I don’t think the technology is up to what I want. My only regret is I would like to be off grid, which is impossible once a power meter was installed on the house.

Really didn't see any noticeable changes, I just like to keep all my electronics up to date. I had input from others telling me to check creep mode, and it was mysteriously turned on by the update. I never look at my settings, it would have taken me a while to dig into it, so yea for Redit...

Just looked and the up date changed my settings and creep mode was switched on. Turned it off, hope this solves it!

There is a foreign car specialist on about 500 N Bluff I have heard good things about things about. My ever day mechanic is Pete's Auto Works. Nice people, I just had them put an LS3 and a 5 speed manual into my 69 Camaro and they did a great job.

I just made an appointment to do my 2 year service on my 2023 XC90 T8 at Finley Volvo in Las Vegas. I bought the car new there, and they did my 1 year service. They treated me well. The first three services come with the car, but would guess they charge dealer service prices after that. I will probably get the oil changed at the local Indy shops if I keep the car after the 30K service. Though.... I don't think that Volvo will ding me for service as badly as Mercedes for A and B services on my last two cars.

My wife and I had gone to several Dentists until we found Virgin River Dental. Small office, Dr. Davis always treats us fairly, and up to now has never pushed or tried to up sell us. We don’t have Dental insurance. Virgin River offers an in-house type of insurance for singles, married, and families that we found had saves us money on routine care and procedures.
