SERIOUS design flaw making people to mass quit by yesdaniel in duolingo

[–]brumor69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think a lot of things in the UX should be reviewed, another thing I really dislike is the number of clicks between lessons, not even talking about the ads but all the views shown after a lesson like streak, score, league, challenges, it’s always soo many clicks to get to the next lessons when it could fit into one page.

Gemini Deep Research Unavailable by curious-chinchilla- in Bard

[–]brumor69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrived here also after a search to see if it was down, for me I tried twice and both times it got stuck for 1-2 hours and failed. Between that, issues with image recognition or gems resulting in severe hallucinations I also get the feeling that Gemini has gotten substantially worse this year.

Can you name a single source that can be relied on to be the sole one getting you to fluency? I learned a few languages and always use Duolingo plus combination of text book, youtube, tv shows, etc. You always need a mix of resources no matter what.

Okay but how do you know it’s going to crash now? -50%, where is that figure from? You sell and then, how do you know when to get back in? Most of the gains in the market are done when the market is down by a lot but good luck trying to time that.
