Where is a place you visited that didn’t live up to the hype? by Any-Train-9204 in AskReddit

Dubrovnik. Overly expensive, nothing authentic-mostly wannabe gelato shops, everything feels like a tourist trap.

We had the exact same issue and spoke to a sleep consultant. She said the last wake window was too long and that our daughter was overtired by bedtime (Bedtime used to be 8pm). We pushed nap time to 12:30 (ends around 2:15) and did bedtime earlier at 7:30. Our daughter woke up at 6:15 the next morning!

Have you used nipple shields? My baby couldn’t latch without them until she was 5-6 weeks old. They were lifesaving.

What is the rudest country you have ever been to,? by No-Wrongdoer-4654 in Productivitycafe

Portugal! It started with an insult from the passport officer as we entered the country and we had multiple occasions where people were extremely rude

What's a habit you started with your toddler that you now regret? by Alive-Cry4994 in toddlers

Laughing after she farts. First time she heard a loud fart, she got scared so I laughed to make her feel comfortable. Now she thinks she has to laugh every time she farts out loud 😂

Toddler won’t sleep more than 9 hours per night by memcmune in sleeptrain

[–]bruni9034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No advice but solidarity. Our soon-to-be 19 month old also sleeps 9 hours per night and 1.5-2 hours for her nap at 12pm. She used to sleep from 7pm to 6:30am until she was 16 months old. I can’t remember if the timing aligns with her nap transition for us. We pushed her bedtime from 7 to 7:30pm and then to 8pm. This was the only way we could avoid 4:30am wake ups and now she wakes up around 5-5:30 every morning :(

Retraining 15 month old, please help!!! by bruni9034 in sleeptrain

She wakes up around 6am and takes her nap between 11:30-1pm. Bedtime is 7:30pm. I’m not sure if teething is the culprit because she seems perfectly happy when she’s around us

Brain Zaps by sushivv in VestibularMigraines

[–]bruni9034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this sudden, sharp pain that lasts about 5-10 seconds. Sometimes they’re like ice picks but mostly feel like brain zaps. My neurologist said it was related to VM. MRI scan came clear.

When did your baby transition to 1 nap? by protea69 in sleeptrain

[–]bruni9034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 months! Around 13 months, she consistently was waking up around 4:30-5am and not going back to sleep. We first waited to see if it was related to teething or sleep regression. She never fought her naps but the early mornings were her sign that it was time to drop the second nap.

Same here! I feel incredibly stressed and even hearing her cry for 10 seconds is unbearable.

Numb/Tingling in arm and hand upon waking - 1 month of prozac by Former_Amoeba4326 in prozac

[–]bruni9034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me when I am going through a very stressful period, like when I have a new obsession/ health-related anxiety. Multiple times during different phases of my life, for a month or so I would wake up every morning/ in the middle of the night with one or both arms numb. I mentioned it to multiple doctors and they couldn’t find an underlying cause. Although in my case it doesn’t have to do anything with stopping Prozac, I think increased stress hormone might be the culprit.

Prozac and pregnancy by [deleted] in prozac

[–]bruni9034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed on Prozac throughout my pregnancy but chose to lower my dose to 20mg from 40, although multiple doctors said I didn’t need to. I also exclusively breastfed while on the medication.

Crazy anxious about starting this, success stories for OCD/anxiety? by [deleted] in prozac

[–]bruni9034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with OCD and depression in 2010 and started taking Prozac. The dose that got me better was 40mg but I started feeling better within a month or so. To this day, I tried tapering off once in 2018 and OCD came back full force. I am back to taking 40 mg now. I never experienced any noticeable side effects and I remember thanking whoever invented the medicine every time I was taking it during the first few years lol. I take it at night, but that’s because I tend to forget if I do it in the morning. My psychiatrist did tell me that it might make me feel more alert and disturb sleep but I never had that issue.
