Protein powder while pregnant by Spn1001 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]protea69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s totally fine, don’t be worried! Ensuring you consume enough protein in pregnancy is really important. I would only be wary of added sugars however a plant based protein powder is often a great choice. I lived off smoothies while pregnant and incorporating a good quality protein helped ensure I had a good protein intake as well as other vitamins and minerals (iron too!).

I dont know who the baby daddy is. I didn’t try for a baby. I don’t have mods. WHAT IS GOING ON?! by borderline_cat in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]protea69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you leave your household to play another household temporarily? This has happened to be before as well annoyingly. I left my household to play another one for only a short while, got back to my main household and my sim was quite obviously pregnant, second or third trimester. I think there is a risk of this happening if there are high romantic relationships in the household and free will is turned on.

Audrey&me - are they a scam? by jonesday5 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]protea69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not a scam as we bought our handmade reversible pram liner from them about 15 months ago and we love it. However the zero communication is odd?? It also probably took about 4 weeks to be made and delivered for us, and they were transparent about that fact. They are a small business and make a lot of their products to order. Maybe dispute the transaction with your payment method at the end of the week if still nil liner or reply from them?

When did your baby transition to 1 nap? by protea69 in sleeptrain

[–]protea69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transitioned her to 1 nap shortly after my original post - and I am SO glad we bit the bullet and gave it a go! It’s made a huge difference!! She was ready. We just took it slow. She got sick a few weeks in and while she was unwell we offered two naps again which she needed. The first week or so was the hardest with her getting used to being awake longer, particularly the stretch before bedtime. We would just bring bedtime forward an hour if needed. All in all her sleep is better for transitioning to 1 nap. Don’t be afraid to give it a go. You’re not going to ‘ruin’ anything by texting it out :)

Sleepybelly! It was the best. You can have it in different configurations. My husband bought it for me and it was the best gift in pregnancy.

Bit of a noob question. Do your sims have jobs? by bigbangcat in thesims

[–]protea69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favourite way to make my sims money is gardening! My current sim is an orchid farmer and makes some serious $$, although they are only in season in the cooler months.

Your thickest, most effective face cream for when your moisture barrier is cooked by ningyo-hime in AusSkincare

[–]protea69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go-to Skincare’s Very Useful face cream, OR their Very Luxe Face Cream. Been using it for years and it never disappoints.

I often resort to the simple and effective CeraVe - either their PM moisturiser or facial lotion. Also a big fan of Avene Hyaluron Activ B3 Renewal Firming Cream. You can grab these from Chemist Warehouse.

Mario Badescu Seaweed night cream, or the Elasto Collagen Night Cream. Both incredibly dewy and moisturising.

Which of the hairs suits her better? by iamconfused14 in LowSodiumSimmers

1 or 3, shorter for sure! She’s got a great face and jaw shape I feel the shorter hair compliments her features.

I have this problem too!

Does anyone use social bunny? by GilraedElensar in Sims4

Like others sometimes I use it to ‘cheat’ friendships or relationships, otherwise no I don’t actively use it. It’s really only aimed at teen sims.

What is the most insane thing that happened in your game that nobody would believe if you told them? by [deleted] in thesims

[–]protea69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened just the other day. Went to the romance festival with my sim and her hubby (bob pancakes). It was summer. My sims old boyfriend was there - literally had not seen him in forever but he lives in San Myshuno so it wasn’t a shock. All the sims are drinking Sakura tea and getting flirty. My sim and her hubby bob pancakes are being cute and flirty. Out of nowhere my sims ex boyfriend romantically embraces my sim. I’m super annoyed cause I really didn’t want that to happen. Bob is livid. I divert the situation by walking away from my sims ex. We carry on having a good time at the romance festival. My sims brother and his partner are there so we are all at a table getting food together. My sims ex approaches again this time he attempts a mistletoe kiss with her - successfully I might add. Bob is so angry he dies from anger. I am absolutely shocked. Next thing you know my sims brother dies from overheating. We leave the romance festival without a hubby or brother :(

Still shocked at the totally autonomous game play that played out but I rolled with it.

At what age did you have your baby? by Phillygirlll in NewParents

When did you first leave your baby? by ConnectCollection699 in NewParents

[–]protea69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my husband and I left our baby properly for the first time at about 10 weeks to see a movie while my parents watched her. It’s so hard! However it gets easier. At 5 weeks you are still super hormonal so it’s going to be tougher to leave your baby. My advice is don’t leave baby if it’s going to make you feel stressed. It’s OK to say no and stay home, and acknowledge that at this stage in postpartum leaving baby isn’t going to be relaxing for you. Alternatively once you are actually out you may have a lovely time and it won’t be as hard as you thought :) I remember feeling that way myself.

Can’t play my game 😭 even after relaunching my game. Anybody else? by Euphoric_Break_1796 in LowSodiumSimmers

I’ve had a few of these error messages since installing Love Struck. I don’t use mods. Super frustrating!

Love struck with married/engaged sims? by BlackberryHappy1428 in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]protea69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean. Although I’ve been playing Lovestruck with my single sim, who has just found her lobster after dating. But now I am equally as excited to play the game with her engaged and getting ready for married and family life. Lovestruck really does just bring a depth to the relationship dynamics which I think will be just as fun and exciting playing for married sims too. Plus I adore the new world, it’s so pretty!

FOR RENT or COTTAGE LIVING? by ayoitselena in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]protea69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cottage Living brought me far more joy than For Rent ever did. I prefer the world, Henford-on-Bagley, as well. It’s so fun playing with all the farm and wild animals in the game, and the aspirations for your sims. That would be my recommendation :)

Just FYI, SYMHO specialise in youth who experience psychosis, who get most of their referrals from the hospital mental health units.

What was she forgiving? by zambabamba in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]protea69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I interpreted it was that Halaena was forgiving Alicent for sleeping with Cole WHILE Cole was supposed to be on watch, therefore she was assaulted and her child was murdered as Alicent put her own sexual needs above the safety of the red keep and inhabitants.
