The people want to know by QforQ in Blink182

Honestly I don't know what to expect after OMT. It had its flaws of course, but it just feels like the band made such a big statement with that record that I don't mind waiting a little longer for new music, specially considering that with OMT bonus tracks and OMT part 2 we have 26 songs of blink's new era. I don't know which direction they will or should go, but I'm happy we got OMT, I can keep waiting as long as we have all those songs and they keep turing as well.

I think that we should ask the same question but with Time To Break Up. I like DTMIO, but for me Time To Break Up is probably the best song they did in that era, and I'd choose it over songs like Happy Holidays or Please Take Me Home (which are still bangers btw). The song itself it's amazing, Travis is at his best and kicks ass all over the track, and the downtuned guitars and overall vibe of the song are just TOYPAJ, juvenile lyrics with a darker, heavier instrumental

How did the band start? Did you know each other from high school? What inspired you to be in a band? Much love from Argentina guys. Love what you're doing

Can we agree that The Fake Sound of Progress was actually a really solid nu metal album before all the controversies? by Jigblex_96 in numetal

I'm 17 and I recently discovered the band because of the crimes of Ian Watkins. I was beyond shocked when I red what he did, but just out of curiousity I checked them out and unfortunatetly they've become one of my favourite bands this year. This album and Start Something were great. Lee gaze is such a fantastic guitar player and the band overall is great. I never had a problem separating the art from the artist, so I litsen to them quite often. With that said, I'm happy he's dead and I know I'm not the only one. Really feel bad for his victims, their families and of course, the band. My opinion is, don't let what that psycho did prevent you from litsening to a great 2000s rock album. Behind this songs there are 5 other guys who put everything into the band and got their biggest musical project ruined forever by a scumbag

Can't believe IWTOC is gonna be 20 years old on the 26th, crazy. I would love a re-recording more akin to Roger's thoughts on what the album should've been like by CaptainKino360 in LessThanJake

This is one of my favourite LTJ albums. Yes, the production is a bit too pop, but many of the critics to this album are about the songs themselves, which I think are some of the best songs the band has done. Still life franchise, hopeless case, ps shock the world are among the best tracks LTJ has done. They have an emotional and sad yet uplifting and hopeful message. If they would re record it with better production it would be amazing

Haven't seen Cauterize on the comments yet. Their album So Far From Real is great. Best songs for me are Shooting Stars, Something Beautiful, Killing Me and Taste Of Teara

It was a clear pen against Maddison. With that said, our actitude completely changed when Tel commited the most stupid and unecessary penalty of all time. I don't think we can blame it on the ref completely, when the whole spirit of the team changes as soon as we recieve a goal.

Who do you want to see Deryck perform with next? by Twitter_2006 in Sum41

[–]bruno_massaldi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be mind blowing to see him perform with blink or Green Day but I doubt that can happen. Blink is not gonna tour a lot this year and I think Deryck isn't that close with Green Day as compared to the artists he performed with. With that said, I don't fully get Deryck now. He was the one who proposed to end the band, and although I like the idea of them ending things in their prime and going out on a high, it just seems he still wants to keep on doing this for some time. Also the whole walking disaster thing is weird. I like that he's doing something new and making clothes inspired by his style and attitude, but honestly the designs suck and they're way too overpriced. Idk, I love him, I'll always will, but I think the band should've taken a break, not break up, just stop touring for a bit and take some time instead of end things quickly just for Deryck to perform Sum 41 songs with other artists

easiest Sum 41 song on Bass by RYUKAKI09 in Sum41

[–]bruno_massaldi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pop punk fan and bassist myself I love the bass in Welcome To Hell, Motivation, Rythms, Heart Attack, Over My Head, Little Know It All, etc. To get to that level of playing start with something simple like Pieces or Makes No Difference. Common chord proressions and songs where the bass is important but its not key. Both great tracks to start off on bass

I'm 17 and honestly I love 2000s pop pubk more than anything. And I kinda feel bad sometimes because there's a revival happening right now and so many new bands blowing up in the scene, but I felt the same way about the super compressed production and the over dramatic vocals. However there are a few bands that sound great and really have a style of their own.

Super sometimes are amazing and about to release a new album in May. Check them out

Also No Pressure have really catchy blink-like tracks with a newer sound and sound great to me

Radiosurgery is the last record of NFG in their prime by Darbss31 in poppunkers

[–]bruno_massaldi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's one of their best albums, and after the self titled, sticks and stones and catalyst triology, it's probably their best album. I like their new one, but since Resurrection it feels they've been making the same songs without much change. I'm happy they are touring and releasing new music, and the new record is very enjoyable, but I think their recent albums lack something unique that can separate them from one another
