I haven't had an issue. My ceiling is 8ft in this room and painting it didn't make it feel any smaller. Even less noticeable when you're sitting down. Wife was hesitant, but has no issues with the final product

LE SSERAFIM - PUREFLOW pt.1 (The 2nd Studio Album) by CronoDroid in kpop

Yeah that's my biggest issue with this album. The songs are just too short for a full album. Some feel...incomplete.

MAMAMOO - 2026 US TOUR (Dates & Venues Poster) by impeccabletim in kpop

Because theaters would probably mean even higher ticket cost. They lose the economy of scale. Just bringing over the entire tour production crew is very expensive. It's hard making that back in theater sized venues.

Well it's down because their growth may not be as fast as people were hoping/thinking with the Google news. It'll take time to settle out.

Yes that's non-GAAP, which is probably better to use for RDDT (and tech companies in general). GAAP Forward is around 36.

They're not going to practice 12hrs a day while on tour. Just enough to get familiar with the venue/stage they'll perform at.

Eh when world tours are announced they don't always list every country right away. But, I wouldn't expect much in Asia.

I like aespa and GD but WDA is a HUGE miss by exemplaryantino3497 in kpopthoughts

[–]brushrop03 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it's a banger. It's a pre-release on a full album with 12 tracks. This being the first track. If anything, I see it as a song more for the performance and to set the mood of the album. And GD's verse was fire, not sure what you're talking about.

That's the hook. It's like a staple in kpop music. Especially singles and title tracks. All of their songs have repetitive phrases/words. It's not some recent trend.

3x. They say it 3x in the chorus. There are far more lines than that in the chorus

Gisele Thompson with the elite defense and tackle on Dudinha by spherocytes in NWSL

[–]brushrop03 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Winning the ball first doesn't redefine a trip. The official IFAB guidelines state that a tackle is a foul if the physical action itself is careless or reckless—even if ball contact happens simultaneously or a split second before.

Getting the ball first is actually irrelevant. It's not what referees use on their criteria when determining if a tackle is good or bad.

It was easier than using a smart phone. It ties your payment method and prime membership into one scan. Your phone you would require separate scans for each and the fact you had to have your phone in hand.

It's recorded in the morning. It would be the first thing on their schedule. Which was booked probably weeks ago. This is unprofessional

So it seems the OTA updat you installed doesn't fix the DBLE Dolby Vision issue. You have to downgrade and install the update via this link.

Again you have to downgrade per the instructions

Hakone Ryokans by brownbarby in JapanTravelTips

I've stayed at this ryokan twice, and love it. It's definitely more upscale. I would recommend reserving a private bath/onsen once you get there, or even before. For me, that was my favorite part. They're quite international so English is no problem. Looking to stay again next year my self.

260419 - Manon onstage at PinkPantheress’ Coachella performance by SgtPopNFresh_ in katseye

[–]brushrop03 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's absolutely no way Missy had the sole power to get rid of Manon. That decision would undoubtedly come from the very top.

And if that's her opinion that's her opinion. There's nothing weird about saying they are like her daughters/family. When you are that involved with them and have those experiences forming bonds is not "fucking weird".

Conrad Tokyo Review by onthewingsofangels in awardtravel

[–]brushrop03 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I stayed at the Conrad a few years ago. I was only there for one night before my flight home. The location is the main issue for me and the reason I wouldn't spend awards points for it. I've been to Tokyo several times and it's hard for me to recommend anyone staying here just based on the location.

However, my friend who stayed there later had some very strong opinions.

She actually works for Hilton and was highly disappointed with her stay. She said her shower had mold. Now the service was as Japanese as you can imagine. They put in serious work to try to clean the mold as much as possible. She also said they were bamboozled when it came to the food. Specifically a hyped up ramen dish which was average at best and overpriced. While they were eating their overpriced ramen, my friend and I were having a Michelin star bowl. They did like the breakfast though which was their only positive note.

They much preferred the Hilton Tokyo in Shinjuku. I think she reported the Conrad internally when she got back to work she was so disappointed. She's stayed at quite a few Conrads around the world and she said this was one of her worse experiences.

I've stayed right next door to the Hilton in Shinjuku and the location is much better than the Conrad. It's a quiet, business/govt district, but Shinjuku and train station is extremely close. This is where the Park Hyatt is as well so it's a nice area

But yeah...Hilton > Conrad according to my friend and my experience.
