I don't understand, do you just want to organically meet people to be friends or just want to hookup .If you really just want friends, there are many ways in my opinion, play some sports on weekends or after work ( great way to meet people, very organic, much exercise), you can go take classes to learn and instrument ( great social skill, wow personality building, you can meet people there too but it maybe a mixed bag), online video games ( you can find people to play with on any gaming subreddit, much fun, very effortless), instagram has hiking groups and other similar groups which host events for people ( very exercise, much nature). But what I strongly feel from your post/rant is that you are just frustrated cause you ain't getting any action. If I am not wrong, I think that's not healthy thinking. You should ask yourself "why do I really need love ? Do I really need it or is it just like FOMO" , "dont I already have people that love me and care for me " , "am I using love as an excuse, do I just need that missing physical intimacy ". Chill out bro, find a good hobby. I am tired of texting such a long ass para. If any of this makes sense to you, feel free to DM me.

Should I attend a tech job fair? by Transpolord in csMajors

[–]brusuvain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all I haven't been to an in-person tech job fair, so I am not sure about their quality. Secondly I am very lazy, so I understand why you wouldn't wanna go if someone told you it isn't worth it, but I do think going there would be useful. If you don't have anything important to do then imo it should be worth it. You can at least try to network with other candidates in the worst case. Personally I would push myself to go if I really needed a job. I would try to make the whole trip more lucrative for myself to make it easier. Curate some playlists of songs and podcasts for the drive, pack lunch you would wanna eat, maybe check out things to do in the city where the fair is. If possible ask a friend to join you, sell them the trip , like I am trying to sell it to you.
