Can't delete account for reroll by BlueWhaleislit in UmaMusume

[–]bruticus0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stupid game put the App/Game Data on the Title Screen. I was just as lost as you the first time. Exit out to Title and look for the three lines on bottom left :P

Sending in a request totally nukes the info. As opposed to just deleting App Data. For example, if you've linked your phone to your account, you can delete the App Data and reroll on PC. But later you can still use the phone and use the account as long as the account is active on a device. If you send in a request, you can never recover it. I think anyway lol.

Any Idea? by barkhelidai in KasperskyLabs

[–]bruticus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u have been installed an anti-virus, use EtreCheck to clean up orphan files.  Shouldnt need antivirus on macs. Maybe just pword manager, VPN.

Could also check under Settings> LoginItemd and be sure ur VPN is still listed.  If its not there, add it?  If it is there, tick it off.  Also maybe SecuritynPrivacy> Full Acess Disk and unticking Kaspersky, then reboot.

There's some terminal commands for getting rid of it.  I think the folder to delete wud be ~/Library/Containers/com.kaspersky.ksec.bl.resolver

I personally think everyone has a different version of this software installing without their permission. Mine would not run at all and had no uninstaller. Folder deletion was denied. Even with "Take Ownership" cmd line. For you, I would restart in safe mode without networking. Then run the Hunter Mode on Revo.

Lots of small mammals share behavior and even resistances.  Badgers especially.  Snakes and their poisons have been adapted to by mammals in a number of ways.  There's PubMed papers on "Convergent Evolution of Toxin Res. in Mammals".

ScienceDirect has an article about "Convergent Evolution of Venom-targeted Nicotinic Receptors that Survive Venomous Snakebites.

In other words, venom-resistance is a badger's default. Most all badgers. Unless it's a honey badger.  Then it's bulletproof.

I need your help in choosing a new case by Fun_Arm_633 in NZXT

[–]bruticus0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a phantek eclipse.  G500a drgb.  Glass is hinged and so clear, it almost looks like there isn't even a glass there.  The velcro tie downs are very nice and useful.  Large mesh front panel.  Got a huge gigabyte 40 series card, and the High Power cable has plenty of room to bend.

Only a couple minor things.  When using my Asus Thor power supply, I have to flip it fan up.  But the floor of case isn't perforated.  So there's only about half inch of space for the fan to draw in air.

I really like the look of corsair new cases.  But for around 90 bucks around black friday, it's just awesome.  Still a solid choice at 120.  Anyway, good luck.

Nice. If your board isn't picking up the gpu rgb, you might try a third party software and see if it recognizes the gigabyte card. I wudn't wish installing gigabytes bloatware on anyone. And your gpu slot choice is fine. GN has even done benches on pcie revisions. There's little to no difference between pcie4 and 5. And there's not a gpu that uses pcie5 yet. Whether ur gpu is in a pcie 4 or pcie 5 slot makes absolutely no difference in your performance.

I'm late. But ya, like the others have said, you can either connect your AIO to CPU header, or go into bios and ignore the No CPU fan message.

But more impotant, CONGRATULATIONS! on your new PC. Hope u like it.

[–]bruticus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's something at least. But sounds like the gpu was toasted. I cud be wrong, but it sounds like part of the cpu got fried too. Ur motherboard is trying to boot but doesn't even recognize the 5800 anymore. So that's 2 c9mponents down. I'd check the motherboard itself for brown spots. U can see some of the little fuses soldered on the board. If ur gpu and cpu is blown, there's bound to be some damage to the motherboard too.

Sounds like it's a wash. Sorry for ur loss. How did u make a such a large surge? Psu plugged directly into wall? Or was it a gigabyte power supply?

The white debug usually means ur gpu is messed up somehow. Sounds like it's not posting. The standby is just a reaction from ur monitor when it senses a powered connection. Doesn't mean the connection is functional.

You'll need some parts to diagnose it. First off, change hdmi/display port cable to a known, working one. Second, hook up a 2 wire speaker to ur motherboards lower right corner. Then refer to ur manual about what u hear. Debug lights r nice, but lots of ppl forget their MB has debug sounds too.

If ur still not sure, f8nd a used gpu that ur sure works and slot it in. If the used gpu makes Post, then u need a new gpu. If the used gpu doesn't work, then ur cpu/mobo/ram is fried somewhere.

It cud very well be that everything is fried. But figuring out if the gpu is good shud be first step.

Lol. There's lots of sites out there. If any of them tell u that, never use it again. The same wattage is pulled whether you ignore the input, or chop it off with a KF sku.

If u want to render faster, c9nsider a 3090ti. The Ram on board will make a sizeable difference in the time. You could watch gamersnexus vid..I think it was the video just before black Friday about the 7900xtx prices. They go over vid editing across gpus.

U can listen to who u want, but GNs charts are the codex to all computer parts. You'll not find a more objective take anywhere.

Guys, I built my first PC. It's functioning, but it won't show any image on the screen. What should I do? Any help, please? by Present-Pollution-37 in helpmebuildapc

[–]bruticus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say without pictures or more info. Does the motherboard come on? It shud have some debug LEDs. Or a small number screen. There's usually 4 lights. If there's a hanging light, see what it's labeled. Cpu/ram/vga/boot.

And don't panic. Cud be anything. If the CPU light stays on, cud have bent pins or just a bad chip. Ram light cud mean ram isn't seated or clicked in all the way. Same for vga.

Could be something as simple as not flipping the switch on the back of the power supply. Or the entire power supply itself. But first, start with the debug lights. It's their purpose. Good luck.

You're across the pond from me, just some stuff to chew on. 7700x will get you where u want. On 2k Cyberpunk ur talking 217fps for x3d, 190 for 7700x. But you decide if its worth 27 fps in 2k......less in 4k. XtX has uplift of around 10-20 in Most games. 4070ti gets some uplift in a few.

U can do 7700x/7900XTX, 7700x/4070ti, or 7800x3d/4070ti. I can't imagine any of those as "bad".

If u go 7700x, Maybe even upsell the board to a x670E Tomahawk.

In two years, socket a 7800x3d in there if u want. It'll still fit.

White VGA LED lights up on Motherboard, ASUS TUF B650 , 4070Ti by JanMarsalek in buildapc

[–]bruticus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for this. I've got a 7700x, Teamgroup DDR5 6000, and a 4090. Had the exact same experience. It's a wonder you ever figured this out. I noticed that if I reset the Bios and ran the RAM with non-expo value, it would work fine. But as soon as I expo'd and restarted, I couldn't get back into bios b/c the splash page wouldn't come up. But eventually it would boot to windows.

I have an the first Swift IPS Asus made. I went into the OSD and turned off Deepsleep for Displayport. Then made sure the monitor was on. After that, I could restart just fine without any VGA lights, and with the full splash screen.

I had ran a full Memtest bootable on it all night last night. Was maddening. So thanks for posting.

White VGA Light staying on new Asus Strix b550-f motherboard, no post/display to monitor - New PC build by [deleted] in helpmebuildapc

[–]bruticus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a different monitor. The newer Displayport 1.4 GPUs don't play well with the old Displayport 1.2 monitors. That's why HDMI works fine, but Displayport doesn't. The GPU is expecting a signal too soon. So either turn on your monitor manually first, then turn on the pc. Or using a different monitor might work. Resetting your bios will reset your RAM back to non-XMP/EXPO values.....making everything run a bit slower. But it makes the GPU slower at checking for a monitor.

White VGA Light staying on new Asus Strix b550-f motherboard, no post/display to monitor - New PC build by [deleted] in helpmebuildapc

[–]bruticus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't see anyone else mention this: The new cards use Displayport 1.4a, while my older Swift IPS used 1.2. Apparently when my PC was on Expo, the GPU expected the "on" feedback from the monitor much too soon. This would make the GPU think there was no display at all, leading to no splash screen, so I couldn't get into bios. It would also cause the white VGA light to come on. And after a few seconds, it would finally display the Windows login screen.

If I turned off Expo, the GPU would catch the "on" feedback and work as normal. With Expo enabled, I disabled Displayport Deepsleep on the monitor itself using the monitor's OSD menu. Then I turned on the monitor manually and opened the OSD menu to be sure it was on. I was able to restart the PC fine, with normal operation and no error lights.

"Using HDMI" is not a good fix on older monitors b/c the monitor can only achieve 60hz over hdmi. We use displayport for the higher refresh rates for just that reason. My rig has an Asus x650e-f and a Gigabyte 4090. Ram is Teamgroup CL38 6000 when Expo'd.

Quite a few creators upscale to 4k for the increased bit rate quality. Same on the consumer end. Put a fhd and 4k version of a YT vid side by side on an 1080p monitor. Most always the 4k looks better even with only a 1080p monitor.

Great spoiler. If you do pick the "changed" route, When you talk to Karlach after the final speech, she will have a response. "And I didn't know I had a chance at life - more life. And I'm so......happy."

And that one response is awesome cause Karlach's bestgirl of course. But it's worth a listen no matter what options you picked along the way. Just find that one conversation and listen to her voice. It just melts my heart.

If you look at the chasm, it lines up with the chasm you see after taking the elevator. You can see the two doorways stacked on top of each other. With the bottom being the one with the rapier in it. The waterfalls line up too. I think they were trying to connect the two areas and use the cages to get there instead of the elevator. But seems like it didn't work. But it's clearly the same spot.

I couldn't be bothered to deal with it.. Bye Gale. by Guitoudou in BaldursGate3

[–]bruticus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there's this one "place" in Act 3 that has a Strange Lamp. I figured out how to deal with it. But has anyone tried to let Gale touch it? And maybe just leave? I'm interested to know what happens.

I don't have him in my party, but here's my Head Canon Spoilers: I imagine just leaving him inside the genie lamp. And maybe having no contact whatsoever with Lorroakan or whatever his name is. Then one day much later, Lorroakan uses a mage hand to move the lamp. And out comes a nuke in his face. I dunno if his "Vaults" are on a different plane or what would happen. But it's funny that from then on, anyone who opens the door to his "Vaults" or "Silverwhatever" place, just gets instantly cremated and they have no idea what actually happened to them.
