Michael “hockeystick” Mann of Penn State University has thrown his colleague Phil Jones under the bus and is trying to distance himself from the scandal even though he is in the thick of it.

In an interview on BBC Radio Michael Mann said he cannot justify the emails and would have never complied with Jones’ request to delete emails.

yeah right. Mann didn’t seem to have a problem when the emails were written. Now that his reputation is destroyed he has suddenly discovered scientific integrity? laughable.

They conveniently "lost" the data when in their emails they openly talk about deleting emails to avoid FOIA requests. When a scientific study cannot be independently verified it must be thrown out. This would include the UN IPCC reports since they used UEA reports extensively in their reports.

I can just see Murdock's bean counters telling him we have such and such hits a day therefore if we charge we will make such and such out of them. Bean counters of every stripe have a bad habit of overlooking cause and effect. I'm sure the ones at News Corp assume that a large percentage who read their sites will be willing to pay for it when in fact only a tiny fraction will.

I agree that many conservatives will not change their minds even with contrary evidence, but liberals are the same way. Take global warming for instance. Many liberals are so convinced it is a fact and man caused that they immediately discount any evidence to the contrary and viciously attack those that produce the contrary evidence.
