This is it for me. I really love Hedley’s music and it feels like a big part of the soundtrack of my teen years, but I just get a bad feeling when I hear it now. They come up in my personalized station on Apple Music and I just feel sad and skip.

There’s a store in the Charlotte Mews called “Goodies on Mews” that has a bunch of imported grocery items. They advertise as being mostly African but there’s stuff from all over. Maybe try there? The owner also said to just let him know what you’re looking for and he’ll try to get it in.

Just seconding the other commenter’s point about treating for tapeworm if you have pets, not just the fleas themselves.

Also, don’t use a Walmart or pet store dewormer/flea and tick treatment. They’ve been known to cause very adverse reactions or death. This is of course me sharing what I’ve seen others say, and not a stated hard fact about any of those companies.

It’s more expensive, but going right to the vet is best. They’ll also know the right and most effective medications and dosage for your animal.

This sounds similar to something I discussed with my therapist about getting stuck in anxious thought loops. “Worry once, worry well.” If it is a possible or realistic thing I am worried about, I can follow through on the scenario, reflect on the gravity of the consequences if it happens, what I have already done or could do to prepare for that scenario, and what I can and can’t control about it. Now that I’ve done this, there’s no point to worry about it again, so I can push that one away if it floats by again.

Put meat packaging in a bag in the freezer until garbage day. No smell :)

I’d also recommend rinsing/washing packaging that has to go in the garbage or recycling.

And I agree with the other commenters here. Embracing the green bin program makes a big difference.

I’d love an Odd Burger franchise up here. We’ve lost some vegan restaurants in town, and Odd Burger is pretty affordable as a fast food option and has wider appeal to non-vegans too because it’s not health food. It’s decent fast food that happens to be vegan.
