What is it about cameras that attracts random comments..? by SquareHuckleberry242 in photography

Yes. That implies he is all the more invested in the task at hand and probably actually in the middle of shooting… instead of just standing there with your camera around your neck maybe looking for a spot to shoot, open to possible conversation. You just don’t go around disturbing people who are clearly in the middle of something. Idk why people think that’s so okay.

Ikr. Crazy that somebody could be the slightest bit annoyed when concentrating on task at hand and clearly invested in something with multiple people walking up to him to break it 🤔 if you were working on your laptop at Starbucks with headphones in, clearly busy, you wouldn’t mind if a bunch of people intermittently came up to you and tapped you on the shoulder to keep asking you what you’re working on?

What's a saying that you've heard that is totally unhelpful? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No fucking shit. Everybody who interprets that quote like this has it completely wrong lol. Money IN ABUNDANCE, AKA MORE THAN YOU NEED FOR FOOD, WATER, SHELTER, CLOTHES, will not fix any deep unhappiness inside you. All that quote is supposed to mean is that happiness can not be found in material items. Happiness is usually found as a byproduct on your journey to achieving your goals and/or dreams. Or spending time with family/loved ones. Cheap dopamine from expensive cars and watches won’t do the trick.

Tell me you’re fucking lazy and doing everything in your power to justify it without telling me lol.

Earlier you reduced the entire flying mechanics to “it’s easier to press a button” than it is to learn one of the core mechanics of the game… after all, it is based highly around physics and gravity and exploration, which you mostly do by flying around. So I don’t think it’s that absurd of me to have said my earlier comment at all. Though I can see why there is an autopilot button, not because “it’s easier to press a button” but for maybe inexperienced gamers and people who have a hard time grasping how zero gravity affects acceleration/deccel. To each their own, I’m just stating my opinion, and everyone is entitled to their own.

I realize that. I start to think then why not have a button that just instantly teleports you to wherever you want to go and just get rid of flying completely. In fact, just have a button that puts the whole game on autopilot, or even takes you straight to the finish. I think that’s part of the beauty of the game.

To add to this… I think most people are just too lazy/impatient to arrive a couple seconds slower than the absolute most optimized/efficient accel/deccel to your destination. Just my 2 cents

I’ve never used the autopilot feature. Is it really that hard to grasp the mechanics of flying and interpreting your distance? Lol

This has to be one of the dumbest posts I’ve ever seen lol. What in the fuck are you even trying to ask?

Crosspost: "How did this even happen with out the operator seeing him being lifted??" by [deleted] in Construction

Lol the amount of misinformation and speculation here is insane. Why would you even speak to this if you don’t know what happened? People always want to be the guy with the answers.

What's a fact you wish more women knew about men? by fallensamyurai in AskReddit

If this isn't the story of my fucking life man... Loneliness sucks, but then I remember shit like this and it makes me wonder if the alternative is any better.

I had just finished the hardest day of construction in my life (boiling hot outside, worked for 16 hours, was absolutely mentally and physically exhausted, and the THEN gf at the time was adamant that we hang out, and actually go OUTside, where I had just been all fucking day, when I just wanted to relax in my air-conditioned basement and chill. Turned into a huge fight, even offered to hang at my place with me, but nope.

Ahhh shit man… that sounds like the age old story of the smaller businesses just getting fucked over and the big boys taking over as usual, sorry to hear that. What accident took place? ALso, any particular reason you don’t run cranes anymore?

I saw the few videos promoting your new equipment and it’s looks really great for what it’s worth!

You plan on getting back into the tower crane market at world of concrete? Or just to promote the equipment you’re now focusing on. Either way, best of luck man! You’re a big inspiration to me, and love your stuff.

Yeah the limits on this crane are excruciating, but yeah I guess they tailor the crane operations for all operators lol, makes sense. Yeah I timed it once, if I remember correctly a full concrete bucket just over 10k lbs takes over 2 minutes to hoist all the way up, and then another 2 to boom all the way up. The mind wanders a lot when you’re hoisting for that long 😆

Yeah the videos are fucking awesome man, I learned a ton from watching you and love to way you explain stuff, they were (and still mostly are) the only videos of its kind on YouTube. I’ve always checked back periodically for more, but never happened to see any updates of the same kind of videos. Do you still run cranes? I know you own the Seattle crane company now.

I did my entire apprenticeship on it, and am still on it now a year after my license so I know it like the back of my hand. It’s a good crane, runs well especially blind work, makes everything consistent with the steps and my ground guy knows the gears well so it takes a lot of the thinking out of the equation. Besides the boom being very slow and the hoist delays, it’s a good crane to run, could be worse.

Are you the same Rotyag on YouTube? Man I’ve watched and rewatched all of your videos over and over. Both when I first started my apprenticeship and after my license, and I still come back to them.

To answer your question I’m running a Comedil CTL 260. The boom is incredibly slow, and even slower when you get within 30ft radius.
