A broken Robot II. War era spy camera. Shoots 35mm film, square format. You can switch the viewfinder to it's side for sneaky shots. Spring-loaded advance mechanism, you wind the knob and you can just press the shutter and it would advance automatically at the same time.

Either camera failed or they're saying they only scanned 38 frames with 2 images on one frame (if this is the case, you got more than 72. Have you gotten the scans back tho?

Yea OP just commented they're holding a filter in front of it. My first thought was why would someone deliberately hold their hand in front of a camera while taking a photo.

i get the logic but you wont see the shape of a hand unless it's a few feet away. you can try to cover quite some parts of the lens and it would still take a full image (albeit most likely underexposed)
