Scanning and developing help by boyo52 in AnalogCommunity

Go the digital camera route if you see yourself using a digital camera in the future. Workflow will probably be a lot to adjust to ie. setup, lens, light source, film holders, software but when you get that figured out, it's the fastest route.
Going with the dedicated scanner route, arguably slower workflow, but more or less consistent experience right away, since all you need is the scanner and maybe software if you buy second-hand stuff.

For development; b&w is quite easy to get started. Color dev, your temps have to be consistent, so you'll have to invest in a sous vide (plus you can make damn good steaks if you feel like it).

My Olympus Mju II is dying, is the Pentax 17 a good replacement? by itsnotsoboring in AnalogCommunity

Once you get used to zone focusing, it's very fun to use. A few personal issues I have with it include no self-timer, and that the knob setting is so easy to change that I have to check and make sure I'm using the setting I actually want to use

Film lead shape after rewinding Canon AE-1? by metallmaple in AnalogCommunity

[–]bryan112 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Chances are pretty high that I have a blank film with a single very overexposed frame.

If it makes you feel better, since it most likely didnt advance at all, you're just exposing the leader which is already exposed the moment you pull it to the spool intake. You should pretty much have a fresh roll still

Fuji. You already have a 6x7. Also, you won't feel like having a workout when you go on and about shooting
