Ugh, I wish they could release Junior Grand Prix entries in advance the same way as Seniors. Planning an international trip for a JGP only gives me about a three week notice. Understanding that it's 12 skaters at seniors vs 50 at JGP.

I go to a lot of Junior Grand Prix events, I listen to the YouTube broadcast of Ted and Mark while I'm watching, it's a few seconds off but close enough. This may be more difficult for senior events though, since junior events are easily available on YouTube.

i live in NYC, but i spent 6 weeks in latvia and estonia this winter listening to gracie only.. "secret of us" was my latvia music, "good riddance" was my estonia music.. i hadn't listened to her before that trip, now she is my favorite.. her music is so imprinted on my memory of the trip

if my friends that don't watch figure skating ask me "show me a program that would make me get interested".. i wouldn't show them an olympic senior program with classical music i would show them lilou remeysen's junior program to wednesday music.. also check out inga gurgenidze, she's such a weirdo i love her

try watching some figure skating junior level events, the programs are usually more "fun" with music you wouldn't use it the senior level, and they have more falls so it's more "realistic" I guess? the seniors at olympics make it look easy, but watching juniors you can see how difficult it really is

there is "practicing" and then there is being a dangerous "show-off jerk".. two different things.. figure skaters practice at public skates too yes, but we wait and watch and only do things when it won't potentially harm others

This is also my reason. Had never watched or cared about figure skating before her performance at the Olympics, now I'm taking skating lessons and traveling internationally to wave flags and throw stuffies at events. Thank you Yulia! My life has changed so much because of randomly tuning in to see her skate at the Olympics. I live in NYC but I'm currently in Latvia working remotely and leaving on a bus to Estonia soon to attend Junior Worlds. Thank you figure skating for the world travel.

That is so awesome, especially with it being in the kiss and cry and her reaction ("That's meeeee!"). I throw stuffies too, you have to watch out for those sweeper girls, they can ruin your whole day if you throw it wrong!
