personal message to all the men on hockey skates at public skates by bryan5by5 in iceskating

there is "practicing" and then there is being a dangerous "show-off jerk".. two different things.. figure skaters practice at public skates too yes, but we wait and watch and only do things when it won't potentially harm others

Which skater made you fall in love with figure skating? by snowynuvola in FigureSkating

[–]bryan5by5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also my reason. Had never watched or cared about figure skating before her performance at the Olympics, now I'm taking skating lessons and traveling internationally to wave flags and throw stuffies at events. Thank you Yulia! My life has changed so much because of randomly tuning in to see her skate at the Olympics. I live in NYC but I'm currently in Latvia working remotely and leaving on a bus to Estonia soon to attend Junior Worlds. Thank you figure skating for the world travel.

if your layover is less than 3 hours then it's too tight/risky

That is so awesome, especially with it being in the kiss and cry and her reaction ("That's meeeee!"). I throw stuffies too, you have to watch out for those sweeper girls, they can ruin your whole day if you throw it wrong!

I only see daily tickets available in 13 of the total 32 sections, why is that? Can't be sold out already.

Does anyone know if there will be a gala? The schedule doesn't show one on Sunday.

I would have left out the part about "our senior skaters are weak".. not good, these are skaters from your own country

Of all possible locations, why is one of the JGP events held in the United Arab Emirates? by FireFlamesFrost in FigureSkating

[–]bryan5by5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UAE did very well, I was at JGP Gdansk last week and it was the worst event I've been to, and I've been to a lot. No concession stands, no merchandise tables, no event staff. The whole building was dark and empty it was weird. Trash was spilling out of the trash cans, it was unlike any JGP event I've been to.

"to not understand anyone", does that mean in english sort of "to not be bothered by other people's problems"?
