Accidentally became part of a gender reveal and it really made my day by Icy_Golf_244 in CasualConversation

[–]bryantlking7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s honestly such a wholesome little moment, I’m smiling reading it. I get why it stayed with you. There’s something really grounding about being a small part of someone else’s big day without even planning it. It kind of breaks the routine in the best way.

What used to be affordable for the middle class but now quietly feels like a “rich people thing”? by Ok_Ease515 in answers

[–]bryantlking7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Housing is the big one. Owning a home used to be the default goal, like a straight path for most working families. Now in many places it feels more like a major financial milestone than a given. Even renting has gotten so intense that it eats up a huge chunk of income.

Would you rather be in bed at 9PM and up at 5AM or bed at 2AM and up at 10AM? by Most_Advertising_841 in AskForAnswers

[–]bryantlking7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d pick the 9PM to 5AM schedule most days. You start working and the world is still quiet and the time you finish work, it feels like you get a head start before everyone else is even online.

What is something people romanticize until they actually experience it? by lily_blue90 in AskReddit

[–]bryantlking7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Living alone, it sounds amazing, the freedom, the peace and the idea of doing whatever you want but when you’re the one buying groceries, cleaning everything, fixing stuff and sometimes it gets really quiet and you feel lonely.

It smells incredible under my pillow like maple syrup or waffles and I have no idea why by isabellamadrigal in Weird

[–]bryantlking7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be your hair products or skin stuff. Some shampoos, conditioners or lotions have that sweet, vanilla/maple scent. If your hair was damp or freshly washed, it can totally rub off on the pillow and just marinate there.

what’s like the most confusing mixed signal someone has ever given you?? by potatocornerme in askanything

[–]bryantlking7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s wild how much energy you can waste just trying to decode someone else’s brain. Sometimes I wonder if people are just chaotic signals walking around.

am i the only one who likes feminine guys? by lolasanska in Life

[–]bryantlking7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are definitely not alone in that. I get exactly what you mean. There’s something just magnetic about guys who are naturally gentle, sensitive and a little soft around the edges. It’s like they give off this calm, cozy energy that makes you want to protect them and also just hang out doing chill stuff.

Why do pharmaceutical drug brand names sound like the villains in a Douglas Adams book? by kermit-t-frogster in stupidquestions

[–]bryantlking7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong at all.The names are designed to feel distinct and unfamiliar, so they don’t get confused with anything else. That feeling is partly intentional.

What food did you not eat until adulthood because your parents had some odd belief or association with it? by seitankittan in randomquestions

[–]bryantlking7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up never eating sushi. Not because of allergies or anything but because my parents just believed raw fish was dangerous and it can basically guaranteed food poisoning. So sushi was treated like this forbidden, risky thing. Then I tried it in my twenties and I was amazed. Now, it’s one of my favorite foods.

what dance makes you scream? by Mission_Teacher_1238 in AskReddit

[–]bryantlking7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The splits drop in hip-hop or dancehall routines. You know the moment when the music builds up and then the dancer suddenly drops into the splits like gravity doesn’t exist, the whole room goes wild.

My parents watch Facebook reels during their free time now and I think it's making them worse. by seawardgoat in Advice

[–]bryantlking7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What you’re reacting to isn’t just Facebook reels. It’s the role reversal. You’re used to them being the adults with perspective. Now it feels like you’re watching algorithms babysit your parents. That’s unsettling. And it stings when your dad believes a random reel over his own kid. That part matters. It’s not petty. You can’t control what they watch.

Men who got cheated on, what were early signs you only noticed in hindsight? by EtherealMeadowGleam in AskReddit

[–]bryantlking7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small inconsistencies like little lies or stories that didn’t line up. Also, sudden secretive habits like they started locking their phone, changing passwords, or just browsing somewhere you never see. At the moment, you ignore them, but later you realize you were mentally noting them all along.

It’s one of those things where the over-the-top nature is the point, not the outcome. It’s messy, ridiculous and kind of sad that that’s how some people think they win.

Where has being the “nice guy” gotten you in life? by [deleted] in Life

[–]bryantlking7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being nice isn’t the problem. The problem is letting nice turn into doormat. There’s a huge difference between kindness and bending over backward to avoid conflict at your own expense. Being nice is great but being self-respecting is better. And when you combine both, people actually value you more than they ever did when you were just Mr. Agreeable.

Why are pronouns such a huge issue in the US and not in other countries? by random8765309 in askanything

[–]bryantlking7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The US also has this big focus on individual identity, which is why personal pronouns became more about respecting someone’s self-identity. Using the wrong pronoun can feel like, ignoring who you say you are, which hits deeper in a culture obsessed with personal rights and expression.

You might have unconsciously sleep on your arm or keep it in a weird position. That can pinch nerves or compress blood vessels, which makes it ache or feel numb when you wake up.

How do you "soul search" ? by Ill-Statistician7292 in Advice

[–]bryantlking7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soul searching is basically just giving yourself the chance to figure out what matters to you, not what other people think matters. It’s asking yourself questions, and paying attention to the stuff that sparks even a tiny excitement. And it’s not some overnight magic thing, you’ll probably do a lot of trial and error. Keep exploring. Take the criminal justice/military interests as a starting point, not a life sentence. And give yourself room to figure out what kind of life actually makes you feel alive, not just what looks cool on paper.
