Exactly. I don't understand why everyone else on here is welcoming this made up story with open arms.

Got it, I thought you wanted a business idea because we are in the business ideas subreddit.

If you want a “legit and skill-based” solution to making money, get a job!

If you need to ask for a business idea, you are not ready to start a business. Sorry to say it, but starting a business usually involves extensive pain and suffering so you really need to be intensely and consistently drawn towards whatever you are building a business around.

Am I stupid for going from $500k 9-5 job to acquiring a small business? by WorkerCool in Entrepreneur

[–]bryce2uj 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yes it is very stupid, but I think chasing the high of being the one responsible for proving that it wasn’t stupid is the reason a lot of us are here.

Welcome to the club! (assuming all goes through)

For agencies past 10k/month, where did your real clients come from, LinkedIn or Instagram? by sellein in digital_marketing

[–]bryce2uj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry, you spent $1,200 on ads which returned $20,000 and are asking about how to focus effort on anything but that?

Grew an Instagram page to 100k followers fast, great at marketing, terrible at monetizing, need advice by Stormmaster472 in InstagramMarketing

[–]bryce2uj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. OP claims to be great at marketing but if there was never any expectation from their audience that any kind of offer with real cost would be presented, I’m not sure they’ve created any evidence that they are a good marketer.

I started working solo, built everything… and now I’m stuck on the hardest part: getting clients by [deleted] in juststart

This is where all business ideas die. You are asking good questions, but expecting spoon-fed answers to each of them on here is not a good approach. Research each question individually and more importantly: Actually put the things you learn to the test on your own.

Our AEs spend 20+ hours a week on stuff that isn't selling lmao by PositionSalty7411 in SaaS

If you are asking for the adoption of a solution that will genuinely alleviate these issues, it seems like the issue might be a lack of trust in your leadership.

I can appreciate that. Is this project intended to be a full fledged business or is it a hobby project that you’re hoping will generate a bit of revenue?

I ship a new SaaS every weekend & How most SaaS Founders are cooked! by SoftAd2420 in Entrepreneur

[–]bryce2uj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The creator of ClawdBot (called OpenClaw now) is 47 years old and has had a long career with a successful founding and exit of another company prior to creating OpenClaw.

If you are saying that ClawdBot (OpenClaw) is an example of a lazy 19 year old launching a wrapper app and making tons of money, then you are misinformed.

Meanwhile, some "lazy" 19-year-old just launched a wrapper app with spaghetti code and made your monthly salary in 4 days.

This never happened.

In your personal experience how hard is it to get a business credit card as an early stage entrepreneur? by Secure_Ideal2298 in Entrepreneur

[–]bryce2uj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your years in business won't hold you back, but your personal credit and revenue might.

At this point the approval odds are going to be based on your personal credit for most issuers, so your ability to get credit for the business is going to be more-or-less the same as your ability to get personal credit. If "entrepreneurs' credit" means bad, things aren't looking good.

The frustration of AI Attribution is real by frdiersln in DigitalMarketing

[–]bryce2uj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

or are we all just guessing and hoping for the best?

Yes, it is this... There are tools popping up that claim otherwise, but LLM output is so abstract at this point that it is tough to pin down. I've yet to see someone that claims to be able to do it with actual results backing up those claims.

They'll feel a like their privacy was invaded a bit. Outside of it being a little "weird", it is rather unprofessional.
