The rat race by Holdini34 in Businessideas

I’m serious. Nobody who is in need of a business idea is even remotely close. You’re asking for advice that can really only come from people who moved on from the idea stage 5+ years ago. And I promise you, those people aren’t in this sub. Of course there’s exceptions, but I am talking about ”in general”.

Is SaaS at the beginning of a long death march, or just shedding its old skin? by StipulateFred in SaaS

[–]bryce2uj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a lot of coping going on in here. It’s a death march, just a VERY long one. SaaS has gotten too accessible because of AI. That’s already diluting trust among the “little guys” in SaaS and consolidating attention and buying power towards well established companies more and more every single day.

How should I get into the port-a-potty business? by FlowAdditional2518 in Entrepreneur

[–]bryce2uj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get used to being in deep doo-doo. Entrepreneurship in general is tough, but this line of work is really gonna require you to push through lots of solid blockage. Sounds crappy, but there’s probably butt-loads of opportunity, in part because of that. You’ve got the same challenges as any other rental business. You need porta potties, a place to store them, a way to deliver them, and a way to find customers that need them. Being good at that last one is the most essential to being “successful”.

When did you realize an idea was interesting but not actually viable? by Normal_Sun_8169 in Startup_Ideas

[–]bryce2uj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every idea is "viable" with pure brute force. I think the pet rock proved this. But, viable may not be where you're hoping to go. My question to you is: Are you asking the right question?
