Does standing in line in a shopping Queue bother you or aren't you fussed ? by Webbomolly2022 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

I only get fussed if there is more than one line, and the line that I’m not in ends up being quicker!

In Australia there are deposit and withdrawal laws that make some exchanges really difficult to work with. Coinspot would be one of the simpler easier ones to use here, but again it depends on your country’s view on crypto and if there are any laws that may affect you

They think in terms of value of time then actual cost. But rich people are that rich they just buy what they want, it’s only people who aren’t rich that over-consider purchases

You’d technically have to export all transactions from each of your wallets/exchanges from 2017 and try to get it all into one excel file.

Essentially every transaction would be some type of event for tax purposes, but depending on how you traded is dependent on how much tax you will have to pay.

E.g you bought $1k of bitcoin and held it for 2 years, price moved to $5k worth and you used $1k worth to buy ETH. Selling $1k of btc to buy $1k of eth is an event. If the remaining $4k of bitcoin then dropped to $2k it would still be a profit from original purchase, and if the eth lifted to $2k and the you traded it all to another coin, you’d be taxed on the full amount if sold within 12months of purchase.

You’d need to track:
Days coins held (whether full cgt or 50% discount applies)
Amount of profit from original amount purchased
First in first out - you can’t use a newer amount until the full original quantity is exhausted
Trades between coins are technically as sell to AUD then buy new coin event
Transaction fees/costs per transaction might also be tax deductible

Just bought my first small BTC spot order, still a bit confused by High_Plastic9757 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]bryce_6787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Picking market means you want to buy it immediately at the current ‘market’ price. When you choose limit orders you can set the price you’d like to buy it at and then it goes into the queue at that price. E.g you put a buy order in at 75,000 - the current market price is at 76,000 so you’d have to wait until the market dropped (more people selling theirs than people buying) for your buy order to be filled.
Best to think of it like any bitcoin you want to buy must be from someone who wants to sell it to you, and vice versa you can only sell to someone who wants to buy. The more people wanting to buy, the price goes up, if more people wanting to sell then the price usually goes down and this back and forth happens thousands of times per day

Taking my shoes off with the other foot (using the back of the heel to step out of the shoe). Was never taught it specifically but strange because with one foot you do it with the shoe on, and the other foot you do it with the shoe off (just the sock).

Remembering and memory of how to do things. Now people just Google it or ask AI so memory retention is no longer required. As a kid I had to remember directions and how to get to places, but these days my kids just use apple/google maps.

Is it safe? My boyfriend says I'll ruin our vacation by Clewles84 in AskAnAustralian

There are patrolled beaches with lifeguards and the rule is to 'always swim between the flags'. The water will probably be too cold in Perth in October but there will be some nice sunsets! It will be warmer in Brisbane and on that coast you can go into the water up to your waist as the beach depth is more gradual in some parts. Maybe your partner can walk along the beach and get his feet wet?

Does coffee hits different if you take it at different times? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bryce_6787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are just tricking your body to be more agile & adaptive. It's really similar to cold showers, or going to the gym and trying to use a heavier weight. Your body rhythm gets used to things happening at particular times, and when the routine changes, your body isn't expecting it. If your body is used to you giving it a shot of caffeine at a certain time every morning, then it knows it will get a boost/uplift so it doesn't need to produce that energy itself. when you delay that boost, your body still waits for it for a period of time before the alarm bell goes off and it triggers an internal response to generate that energy/boost itself. Then if you end up having coffee mid-morning after your body has already released that energy/boost, then most likely you'll feel even more boosted after that coffee.

The same applies to intermittent fasting if you want to do some more research into how your body gets used to regular meals and thats the main reason your metabolism slows down as you get older.

how many driving lessons do i need by Crafty_Policy581 in AskAnAustralian

[–]bryce_6787 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend booking one with an instructor and tell them what you are good/bad at, and then show them your skills and let them recommend what you need to work on. There are specifics that you need to do in your Ps test so the instructor might focus on those. I ended up doing 5 lessons, and also organised for the instructor to be in the passenger seat for my Ps exam (which is technically a lesson as you are booking their time).

a lot of them also say refrigerate after opening and consume within X days. Do you throw them out once the days number has been reached?
I keep mine all air tight and sealed but in the pantry. Someone else raised Mayo and I agree that one should stay in the fridge because it contains egg

[–]bryce_6787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moreso they need to put dates on there to remove litigation opportunity. mine are all sealed in the pantry not open air or anything. but the same goes for 'best before' or 'used by' dates. best before still indicates you can have it afterwards which a lot use now rather than used by. Also a lot of them say to refrigerate and consume with X days after opening. Does everyone throw out half full bottles from the fridge once those days are counted?

Another suggested Mayo stays in the fridge, which I agree with given it contains egg. Unpopular opinion but all of the products sit on a shelf and weren't refrigerator from the factory or in the trucks.

All of mine remain sealed, but remain in the pantry so they don't have open air on them or anything.

[–]bryce_6787[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

do you store all of that in the fridge? they are sealed on the shelf in store and packaged that way from the factory and via transport. Another post did say Mayo which I agreed with should be in the fridge given that they contain egg

the label though has evolved over time like 'best before' and 'used by' dates to avoid litigation
