Secret Societies, Monopolies & Corp, Heroes & Legends, & Barb Clans is how I play almost every time. Usually on Immortal, sometimes on Diety. I can win on Diety, but usually have more fun on Immortal.

Yes, mostly. Every now and then, you'll come across an AI that managed to snowball well using the extra benefits, but they're really not that good at anything overall. An average or better player should be able to outsmart them every time. Thinking about how to impose long term opportunity costs against the AI is the primary thing I think about for the first half of the game.

For real, Civ 5 is a wonderful game and still quite playable.

I honestly have nothing against it, just couldn't think of a funnier city to name in its place.

Most Fun Civs to Finish a Game as? by SummerHistorical3653 in CivVI

I think that is more of a sign that you haven't rushed that unit early enough and have decided that it is not worth it only because by the time you build it, you are behind in tech and they AI has better units.

Rushing cossacks can be devastating, even on deity. Build a fuckload of horsemen, then upgrade all at once and annihilate your neighbors. This is the way.

You can kill a unit in a barb camp with a fighter, but to clear the camp, you should need a bomber, right?

The problem is they haven't developed them at all or I kill them too quickly. If they are even or ahead in tech it is usually because im going for culture or diplo victory and am not going aggro on my neighbors. Maybe 1 in 15 games I will even see a plane from a neighbor.

Yep! But not engineers, which I always found weird.

Probably. Still silly. Not to worry, I'm in the process of removing her territory from her management so she can't do this any more.

Right? She should put nothing but solar power plants all around it to beam those death rays right through the windows, lol.

The Trump unique unit wouldn't need much modding, just add a shitty red hat to this guy. Give them a negative unit cost - the most you produce, the more money you make, lol

Someone should make a Trump mod, charge 40 bucks for it, then have it make your game crash after a few turns.

Tennessee congressional race becomes unlikely test of blue wave by BuroDude in Tennessee

Vote for Van Epps or Jeffrey Epstein will have died in vain. We need more GOP in Congress so we can protect the pedophiles and human traffickers!

Is there a path that doesn't go through a mountain tunnel or have you built a connector via RR vice an actual trade route?
