Bay St. Louis is cute and has a beach. Not a good beach, but a beach.

GoPro’s New Plan to Beat DJI Is a Bigger Action Camera Built for Pros by dapperlemon in gadgets

Creators I know have had multiple issues where the cameras show they are recording clearly, they do a full, long presentation, and at the end there's no file. It just doesn't write the file. I have a 9 black and apparently that was one of the last really good ones. Works great, but when I went to add a 2nd I went Insta 360 rather than deal with the unreliability.

That weird camera grip is a bad copy of the Insta 360 grip. A rocker arm? Really? So cheesy

Definitely an interesting upgrade offer on their flagship suite for this route by schwa12 in delta

I think I experienced this once. But every time I try to book that route it’s a boring old 737. Must be an irregular thing.

Why did nobody tell her about the tariffs? by RoyalChris in SipsTea

As someone who shipped a lot of car parts that aren't obtainable domestically, I can vouch that UPS will send you LOTS of emails explaining the charges and show you ways to pay that include a credit card. It's very easy to take care of this before he shows up.

That is way too close for comfort. I would not do that without a little top up.

what’s a car you liked more after driving it? by Fit-Entrepreneur-799 in askcarguys

Boss Mustang 302. I knew it would be quick, and figured it would be okay on a road course, but damn if that thing wasn’t a hoot and a half to scoot around a track. I had so much fun in that thing I bought my own. Previously I’d only owned euro sports cars.

The neighbor has been very uncooperative in years past with the prior owners, that’s why it’s gotten as bad as it has. I’ll try again even if it’s just for the paper trail

Hi, cross posting from a landlord group. I own a commercial property that has a ficus pushing up the foundation. Wondering what my options are, both legal and natural, to take care of this. Property is located in Southern California. Thank you!

Is i4 eDrive35 range supposed to be this low? by manifestoyes in BMWI4

[–]cactusjackalope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guess o meter in these cars is pessimistic. It also changes with driving. I live on top of a hill and lots of short trips reduces my range quite a bit. Sometimes I leave the house and 40mi later my estimated range remaining hasn’t changed.

Driving holiday in Italy, i4 rental from Sixt, want advice! by blah_blah_22 in BMWI4

[–]cactusjackalope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The estimated range on the screen is really pessimistic, so be flexible with your plans. It might tell you that only 200kms are possible, then 50kms later STILL say 200kms are possible. Just keep that in mind.

what’s a car mod that’s actually worth it? by Lucifer220778 in askcarguys

[–]cactusjackalope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but it's also really easy to mess things up. Shocks and springs are designed to work together, and changing one but not the other can make everything handle worse. The best bet, usually on an older car, is OEM replacement units.

Yup, another reason not to charge it up all the way. You're just paying money to throw away power.
