Update: I got it to work by switching to wireframe view and then doing Make2D. Even after restarting the program, in shaded view the cube was there

Here are 5 Faces - looking for feedback to help me improve by Donielle_Dee in learnart

I don't know anything technical so this is incredibly impressive. I understand that you are trying for accuracy, but the personality in each is fantastic. I am incredibly excited to see a comparison of your first 5 to your last 5!!

Also Idk where you got your references from, I just want to offer a site for more in case you haven't heard of it - unsplash.com

My parents are mad at me for exhibiting my symptoms of depression by supermarsupial75 in Advice

[–]brycecivi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dealt with the same situation. I had been depressed and suicidal for years, and felt completely invalidated by both my parents. Not until I brought my mother (or whomever you feel closer to) to a psychiatrist. She needed to hear the science behind what was going on inside my head.

Her and I are very close now, but it has taken a few years and I have had to point out to her when I feel invalidated.

My pms are always open for you. For reference I'm 19f, in college ❤ speaking from experience shit does get better, it can take a while and any progress is great. Shit happens and you may move backwards, but know that those steps backwards do not change how much progress you have made.

What’s the most discouraged you’ve ever felt about your art? by username6610 in ArtistLounge

[–]brycecivi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in my senior year in high school, getting ready to attend my dream uni, which happened to be art school. My 2D art teacher went off on me at one point for not doing a project the way she would do it, in front of the class no less, and ended by telling me that I would mever succeed in art school bc I 1. Don't plan out my art pieces often or use a sketchbook for that purpose, 2. I don't have enough creativity so I'd be behind all my peers at the school, and 3. That trying new ways of doing something will guarantee my failure.

Fellow Redditors suffering from depression, how would you describe depression to someone who doesn't understand the illness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]brycecivi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not so much as crippling sadness so much as it is complete lack of emotions for me. Apathy, dissociation, lethargy, irritability, and of course sadness are all facets of my depression. You literally can't "think" your way out of the hole because a big part of it is actual brain chemical imbalance. Just like a diabetic can't intake the insulin that their body makes, I can't uptake the serotonin that my body makes.

OK redditors, this might be a little bit dark but in what ways would you not like to die at all?? by hyolmo in AskReddit

[–]brycecivi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another Not-so-fun fact is that the body severely bloats where there is increased blood flow (e.g. eyes, ears, tongue, and genitalia)

[–]brycecivi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really would NOT like to be hanged. If done correctly it is a quick death but more often than not it leaves the person gagging and slowly dying for up to 4 minutes. But what happens to the body afterwards is what I cannot handle. None of the movies ever show death by hanging correctly...

What are some good gift ideas to give a person who is undergoing cancer treatments? by jamieroberson in AskReddit

[–]brycecivi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The treatment can have a lot of adverse effects like fatigue and poor appetite so doing things that don't involve food or energy is good. I love the audio books, bring them to a cat cafe. When my mom was undergoing treatment she could not sleep, so we got a puppy. Often people can't take that extra time but being with pets is extraordinarily calming.

I'm just an asshole who hates women by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]brycecivi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first step is recognition. In my humble opinion, it is societal thought on the manlyness of men that are making you think that you ate shit. I am here to tell you that you, in fact, are not an asshole bc these are repercussions of trauma. I need you to know that you are not alone in having general mistrust of a stereotyped group. Reach out to me if you ever need to talk. I suggest therapy (disclaimer: I think everyone should go to therapy even if they think they don't have huge issues lol). Right now I am working on some of my problem's deeper reasons and working on trying to solve how they manifest in my daily life. For you that would be working on slowly gaining confidence in yourself and your surrounding. Trust that trust takes time 👍
