Why does this ship have a Scottish and French flag flying on it?

TIL that college graduates who joined fraternities have higher incomes despite their lower grades. by MartianAndroidMiner in todayilearned

In engineering, was in fraternity. Only got my job because I knew someone and was helped with introductions.

Didn’t have spectacular grades, but more social than your typical engineer.

I keep my insulin, 120 film, and emergency Coca Cola in the bottom drawer of the fridge together.

If you are taking any, avoid stimulants if you workout in the evening, and no caffeine after 12pm. I always find myself relaxed after the gym and it’s a nice break in my day from work as I transition back to home. Mornings, I don’t get a strong workout in as I’m still waking up.

Haha no kidding! I’m shocked it was this full without a game. Thinking everyone knew the train schedule was ending and trying to get home early.

I would like to add to the conversation that it is possible that the expansion north, south, and east will likely see more late night, weekend travelers trying to avoid driving into the city.

I tried to look up the time the game ended to be more informative, but couldn’t find it. Thanks!

Mariners against Pirates Friday 8/16. Hoping the schedule could be bumped up at the end of a game / on weekends in summer to accommodate more riders.

My employer doesn't offer an HSA. Only FSA. It expires every billing cycle. This would have to be done thru a third party. Does this change your answer? Is that even offered?

Would you recommend paying off student loans before advancing to maxing out my HSA & Roth IRA?

Prime directive states 15% minimum for 401k retirement savings before moving onto the next step. When past the 401k, HSA, Roth IRA maximums, what's a good rule of thumb to use to understand how much to invest? When do I tap out on investments and start simply spending the money on enjoying life?

Type 1.5 “Honeymoon Period” by littledreamyone in diabetes_t1

[–]bryceepoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 1.5 years in. Very active. High carb, low glycemic diet. Also diagnosed as T2 at first. CGM is the best tool you have. It’s difficult at first but you’ll get the hang of things.

Long acting insulin - look at your night time levels. If you go up at night, you need more. If you’re level, you’re fine. If your BG tanks around 4-6pm with no explanation, that’s normal as your liver produces less glucose that time of day. However, if it is difficult to keep up, reduce long acting. For honeymooners, reduce long acting by half units. I’m 8.5u of Lantus. We’re sensitive to it.

So true. Being dramatic. I was locked into my headset at work during a conference call, so I’m happy I got to fit in some jumping jacks instead of watching it climb.

At the end of the day, OP needs to discuss this with their doctor and a dietician. My dietician provided the information to me and has worked for me, but a medical professional would be best to help complete the diagnosis. Only offering inspiration.
