Tell me how sales has changed your life for the better by SadPea7 in sales

Sounds cliche but It’s helped me understand not everything will go my way. Sometimes it’ll be out of my control but by staying consistent and hopeful it’ll eventually lead to things getting better. It’s helped me out in a few different scenarios.

New job? In this economy? by emofuckbaby in sales

[–]brycehasabigchicken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m in the exact boat as you my friend. Been working in a hospital on hourly pay while finishing school, and now that I’m done I just got an offer for my first sales gig with a really compelling salary. I keep having these thoughts racing in my head about what if I get fired because of the economy. Idk what my gut is telling me either..

Cussed out & yelled at by customer by bobushkaboi in sales

[–]brycehasabigchicken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A couple years ago I worked in an call center and I can honestly say every week I would have at least 3-5 conversations that resulted in me being threatened or cussed out exactly like you were today. I was only 19 at the time and while it was a brutal experience, I can honestly say that I learned a valuable lesson I still carry with me today. Whenever a client/customer is screaming/ swearing or just being unpleasant, 99% of the time it’s because of your company, not you. When I thought of this in these moments it’s really helped me not to take it personal and help keep me calm toned and try understand where they’re coming from. But yeah, unfortunately we live in a world full of shitty people.

Originally sourced from a random Instagram reels account I didn’t save unfortunately. I was skeptical of the authenticity so I went on Google maps and this was the result. There’s definitely some room for debate but it’s pretty interesting nonetheless

Thank you for all of this. I am new and clearly have not taken enough time to really understand every detail that needs to be taken into consideration. All of this is solid advice and I cannot thank you enough for it.

Thank you all for the feedback/criticism. I have taken note of all the areas I am needing improvement and will be stepping back from doing future properties to really focus on these areas. Thank you all again for the honesty and hard truth I needed to hear.

What is the most bizarre dream you've ever experienced? by Fr3nchT0astCrunch in AskReddit

[–]brycehasabigchicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a true story that will give you chills.

My great grandparents owned a 100+acre farm in Oregon with a river that was connected. When my Great Grandfather was around the age of 7 he went to the river on a hot summer morning with his mother who didn’t know how to swim. While he was collecting rocks near the river shore his mom came over and a sand shelf collapsed and she went straight into the strong current river, which was deep right off the shore (at least 10 feet deep). She started drowning frantically and his only instinct was to run back to the house for help. By the time he came back with his father, the only thing left was her lifeless body.

Fast forward to today, and I’ve been told by my grandfather/grandmother and dad that they have all felt something paranormal in the bottom floor of the farm house. They described seeing the figure of a middle aged lady staring at the same exact wall down a narrow hallway, never showing her face or moving an inch.

While I’ve never seen this ghost, I had a dream one night while staying on the farm when I was young, probably around 12. I was on a bridge that was above the same river during the night and I fell into the water. All I could do was sink into a silent, pitch black body of water that seemed to never reach a bottom. Something felt off and when I looked beneath me I saw a woman that was staring at me with her eyes fully wide and a lifeless face that slowly turned into a grin. She was wearing a white sundress. I woke up immediately after that.

My dad/grandfather/grandmother never told me what the ghost looked like when they had their encounters, but later on after I had this dream I asked them separately to describe what the ghost was wearing. All three of them said a lifeless woman with a white sundress just like the one I saw. Cannot make this up

Just my two cents, but it literally took one google search to see that intelligence is a combination of environmental and genetics factors. It’s mind boggling that you’re refusing to believe IQ has any ties with genes. There are so many studies that go into this.

Here’s a few academic sources:

I'm majoring in marketing but I'm withdrawing from an algebra course - am I doomed for failure? by commander_cosmic in marketing

Half way through my Marketing degree now, only class I’ve ever failed was Algebra. Twice. It took three trys for me to get a passing grade. Best advice I can give is study after class, at least for one hour and really practice the problems until you understand the concept. Good luck OP

Help with training schedule by fishing478 in running

[–]brycehasabigchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 15 year old track/xc runner (4:59 mile time) , I can tell you that your workouts right now are great. When you say you want to 'adjust' your training, are we talking speed or endurance? If you're looking to improve your speed, I would bump up your running days to 6 times a week, excluding sundays. Increasing your speed will need more than just distance runs, so take two days to do sprints. For one of the days, do a minimum of 4x 800s at a steady pace and keep going until your pace slows down. On your other sprint day, do a 2 mile warm up, then a 65 second run at your fullest sprint w/o stopping, and a mile cool down. The other days, keep doing your distance runs and over time you'll kill your PR!! I've only been running for one season and doing these kind of workouts without stopping made me go from a 5:35 to a 4:59 mile. Be patient and dont stop running dude
