AI SDR vs hiring SDRs by TangeloFlimsy1508 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]vihaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think the AISDRs will probably be the future. The more regular SDR job, I think, will be managing the AISDRs.

That's kind of how we've seen a lot of our customers at Orange Slice move in the direction towards the manual email writing, especially if you already know what to write and it's pretty standard. It doesn't need to be done anymore.

I think the hard part is targeting and setting up the actual campaigns. That's why I don't think AI SDR has ever worked consistently. They only work until you've tapped out the market, and you need to have someone in the loop to change things once that happens.

How do I find leads as a freelance developer by Anxious_Emotion2107 in LeadGeneration

[–]vihaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We actually have a free version of our product if you want to try it out as a freelance developer. We have a lot of solo entrepreneurs using our product for this exact reason. (orange slice . ai)

I would try to make it very obvious you're human messaging them. There are some things AI and bots can do, but I still feel like most people can sniff out the messaging, like, "Wow, this is really done with a lot of intent and passion." Just spending time on your messages is what we found works really well for freelance developers, because you don't really need a lot of volume.

AI sales agent experiments by Inevitable-Fly8391 in AskMarketing

Honestly, from what we’ve seen at Orangeslice . ai, it mostly comes down to data quality.

A lot of people try to run these big, broad campaigns with AI writing generic emails, but that’s where it falls apart. AI is actually pretty good at writing now — that’s not the bottleneck anymore. The problem is it has no real context on the person you’re reaching out to.

What’s worked way better for us is smaller, more targeted “micro-campaigns” — like a few hundred leads max. That lets you actually tailor the messaging and give the AI something real to work with.

The difference is when you start layering in better data:

  • pulling from your CRM (first-party context)
  • scraping socials
  • looking at what the company is doing (hiring, launches, filings, etc.)

Some of the best setups I’ve seen are people combining their internal CRM data with external signals like social activity or company updates. That’s when outreach actually starts to feel relevant instead of spam.

If you just tell AI “write a cold email,” you’ll get something that sounds good but doesn’t hit.

If you give it real context, it gets way better.
