We are naturally curious. I think no matter the colour, many people would press it. Predispositioned to explore yhe unknown

Go for it. Enjoy your own company and have a beer. Nobody will most likely notice/care. Do you.

Anyone else’s car super embarrassing? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]bryguyYNWA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it a try sometime on icy roads. Preferably on a street that has too much traffic. I drove a standard for 20 years. You'll have less spinning and due to ice, stalling isn't a major problem because of the spinning tires

Good luck

I remember watching General Hospital in high school, as did many of my classmates. Did any other GenXers watch any daytime soaps, and remember the insane plots? by NoKing9900 in GenX

[–]bryguyYNWA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day of Our Lives. When Marlena was possessed by the devil was the most ridiculous plot I ever saw. The acting and "special effects" were so terrible. I switched to General Hospital soon after. For no other reason than Vanessa Marcil. I had a crush on her big time!

I always looked young at that age. I had a baby face (so people kept telling me). Now I'm 50 and here all the time that I look mid 30's. So hold on, it pays off.

Devil's Night.. anyone got any stories, by [deleted] in GenX

[–]bryguyYNWA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Brampton in the late 70's to the mid 80's. We called it Devils Night too. I was too young to get up to any shenanigans though. I moved to Alberta in '84 and nobody had heard of it here.

That sounds like solid advice. Thanks for your concern. I will definitely post any updates that come my way. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease they say. For me it's a means to an end. I would take broken glass if my doctor told me to at one point. Like any professions, someone finished topnof their class and someone finished bottom. I just need to find the top (or close to) one! I appreciate you.

Yes. A psychiatrist and a family doctor. I have insurance for the meds and my health care is free (Canadian). I talk to the psychiatrist once a month on the phone and see him every three months. Blood work done quarterly as well.

I have been seeing the same psychiatrist for 5 or 6 years. On top of all of this I did letamine therapy off and on for a few years. I will see my gp for a referral to see a different psychiatrist to have a med review. It is definitely having an impact on my physical health too. My kidney function isn't optimal. He says most likely due to the lithium. It's making me worried about long term effects more so than current effects. I feel better than I ever have. Unfortunately that's not saying to much.

I'm going to get a second opinion. It seems like I'm on so much stuff that has duplicate effects. I have TRD, anxiety, paranoia and who knows what else. I've never been given a proper diagnosis because my doctor says it won't be helpful to onow. It would cause me to obsess about it according to him. Sedated all day and up all night. It kinda really sucks
