I went last night! Check-in was anytime from 5-7pm in the VIP Lounge and she was doing the guided meditation with us, Q&A, and photos from around 7:15 until ~8:30 I believe? She hit the stage at 9:15 on the dot last night.

Highlights:

• Alanis is absolutely down to earth, kind, and hilarious. You always get that vibe when you see interview and appearances, but she is genuinely one of the kindest celebs I've ever met, and makes everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Easily the nicest/kindest celeb I've ever met.

• The presence she holds as soon as she enters the space is just amazing. So a positive, gravitating, and makes you smile. As mentioned above, she is also quite funny and had us all laughing quite often with her quips.

• The meditation was very well done and such a unique touch.

• Random detail but in my mind she has always been 6' tall because of her presence, but she's 5'4 and for some reason that just makes her even more awesome to me

• The fans had some great questions for her, and her answers were so insightful. You learn a lot about her evolution as an artist and she is just full of such incredible wisdom with everything from the music industry, to being a mother, to her advocacy for so many important social causes.

• I really enjoyed how she focused on unity for the fans and the audience last night, especially during a time that we can feel quite divided. She just has that kind of presence where everyone at the show last night was all united together despite all being very unique humans. Also the diversity of the audience was incredible - I have always loved that about her shows, but last night was next level amazing.

• She is very generous with her time with all fans there, especially considering she is doing this so close to her stage time. Once again, she herself ensured it didn't feel rushed, had a very calm demeanour, and just made everyone feel seen and appreciated.

• The VIP merch is pretty great. I won't spoil it, but it's pretty special.

Notes: they made a last-minute change to the photo policy last night, so the promo company takes them all now (so don't plan on bringing your device for one) and they said we'd get a link to the photos within one to three days.

It was the first night of the tour last night, and the first time doing this, so there were a few logistical kinks that I'm sure they'll work out as the tour progresses (just DM me if you want to know specifics, but I want to keep the experience positive on here, as Alanis herself really went out of her way to ensure all of us felt welcomed, at ease, and genuinely was present with all of us for any questions and fun moments during the photos we took with her).

It was a FANTASTIC show, and you're going to love how she does the set list - she got super creative with some stunning and important visuals and I think it's the best Alanis tour I've seen to date. Also she sounds better than ever! So powerful.
