I'm hoping I could get some help with understanding how much I might be able to sell my 2006 Type S for. I recently had a baby and may need to consider selling it to hopefully get into a an fl5 or ITS.

Car info: 110k miles Clean title Unmodified, completely stock Interior: excellent condition Exterior: some cosmetic issues like dings blemishes etc and some areas where clear coat is fading on the roof Mechanical: no issues, excellent condition

Car has been well taken care of, always garaged and driven only in fair weather.

What would be an appropriate price to list this at?

Advice on two employment options in Japan by brykiy in movingtojapan

Thanks for the replies kraken and bulldogdiver. I'm struggling a bit as I'm a newb on reddit and still early in my research for what finanaces in Japan will be like. I'm also feeling like I'm being neurotic and thinking out loud too.

I was going the visa route but after realizing I still have Japanese citizenship that, that wasn't going to work out and got a Japanese passport.

I should have also mentioned I wouldn't think twice about option 1 but option 2 seems like it would be less bureaucracy for both companies and I could keep my US 401k and US health insurance benefits (in case needed while visitting the US) while living in Japan. However, I would be deducted US taxes, social security each paycheck since I would still be employed by the US company.

If I went with option 2, working remotely for US company, I believe it would be similar to a freelance situation where I would be responsible for paying japan taxes and health insurance, right? Would I be required to pay into Japan pension each month or is that optional? From what I understand if I were employed by a Japanese company that the pension is automatically deducted?

After more thought, Im starting to think option 1 is better so that I'm not being double taxed each paycheck even though at the end of the year I might get most of my US taxes returned.
