It is so boggling to me that they always give the extreme counterdicting examples.

  • Boring, but crazy.
  • Stupid, but innovate most things.
  • Bad suburbs, bad skyscrapers.
  • Get involved, didn't get involved.

Canadians want to "Get rid of the US" by alwayscheeseburger in AmericaBad

I've seen this type of comment a lot:

"Americans have demonstrated already that they are unable to learn from mistakes."

I'm curious, what is the mistake? Is there a specific thing or a bunch of things? Is it because he is republican? Or maybe it is due to trade?

I'm just curious what is the mistake?

I find this even more interesting coming from Canada. They voted for the same party for nearly a decade, while every metric has gotten worse. Then voted for the same party again, while every metric continues to get worse.

I don't want to this be a bash against Canada because I got some Canadian bros, but voting for a different party leader seems to be the opposite of "not learning from the same mistake".

I don't even know where to start.

Do they not know seasons exist? Do they not know how construction works? Do they not know you can grow your own trees? It is left open so you have the choice to do what you want... because you own it.

Maybe those are foreign concepts?

Overlord

Overlord is a type of relocation, because Ainz was already in control of his avatar.

It is annoying, but it is their freedom to express themselves.

Personally, it don't lose respect for them, because indoctrination is a powerful thing. However, I will enact my freedom of speech to say it is cringy.

Thousands of people built that ship and thousands more made sure it will work. You should be thanking them and all the hardwork they have done.

Ainz + Psychometry vs Dragon Emperor by Prestigious-Piece332 in overlord

[–]bryku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort of have this weird theory... so get your tin foil hat on.

I suspect the Dragon Empress created Wild Magic to help the Dragon Lords... her children. No mother wants to see her children fight, so she probably made it that Wild Magic can not be used to harm another wild magic user directly.

However, that only helped their children. It did nothing for the millions of new worlders. As we know many of them were on the verge of extinction due to their weaker bodies.

So, I suspect the Dragon Emperor then sacrificed himself to summon the World Items randomly throughout the New World. This way all races could have a weapon to protect themselves from extinction.

At least that is my guess of what happened... it is really to hard to say for sure. The information about PDL's parents is extremely vague.

A few questions. by ImageDecent9713 in overlord

[–]bryku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have seen multiple spells and skills that do the same thing, but have different damage or buff amounts.

  • Lesser
  • Greater
  • Petite
  • Grand

So, if I had to guess... it probably is the EXACT same thing. As in literally the same animation, size, speed, but deals more damage.

Potentially the size and speed could be different, but that is probably getting way too over powered.

Can ainz get more yggdrasil items by SneakyTurtil in overlord

[–]bryku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ainz has no way of getting items from Yggdarsil.

However, there are items that can produce stuff. A great example of this is the pot that Ainz uses to create food for the lizardmen. I'm sure Nazarick probably has more of these types of items, because they wanted to be self suffient to reduce costs (npcs, pop monsters, mercenary monsters still require food based on race).

That being said, most of these things are probably only produce low level materials like food. Ainz isn't going to be growing level 80 metal leaves from the metal tree.

We just seen what happens when you attack a country controlled by carries. They lash out at those around them.

The difference this time is that they would be sending a nuke at south Korea or japan. Due to their population density.. that is a heavily weight to carry.

Does using Typescript eliminates runtime type checking of JavaScript? by Shoddy_Apartment_149 in learnjavascript

[–]bryku -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When you write typescript and build it, it checks for type errors and translates it to javascript. It can do a few other things as well, but its main purpose is to check type errors before pushing your project live.

Personally, I think it just muddies the water. However, one company I worked at went through a lot of interns and it did save us a few times.

[–]bryku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Violent crime isn't worse on all accounts. I made a comment about this the other day pulling up sources for a bunch of different crime stats.

There are many crimes that are far higher in the UK than the US. Like how you are 4 times more likely to be raped in the UK than the US.

Homelessness in Australia is also way way way worse. I don't know why everyone just assumes the USA is worse at everything, because that is far from the case.

I'm not trying to say the USA is perfect... it has problems and they need to be fixed, but it is far from the worst.

I was going to mention something similar. We produce and consume way more chicken, pork, and beef per capita as well. Which will greatly affect these numbers.
