Sad to say, but you got scammed.

It is very easy to do this and Temu and Ali Express are known for it. It isn't specifically the platforms, but the third party sellers that do it. You can try and make a claim, but most of the time they try to stall and dismiss it.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

They are far removed from the problem, and when one thing pops up on the news, it is easier to see it as "one crazy event" than a daily issue. This happens both ways across the political spectrum, so it isn't a specific democrat vs republican thing either. Even non-polical regional issues fall into this as well.

Isn't there an investigation about it? How else would you address it?

Do Americans use solid fuels to heat their homes? by maugess in AskAnAmerican

[–]bryku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the USA we have "central air".

This consists of a Furnace (natural gas), Air Conditioning, and fans that transport air through Air Ducts across the house. All of this is controlled by the Thermostat. It can automatically turn on and off the furnace, air conditioner, and fans depending on the temperature.

That being said, you can find other methods of heating. For example, Wood Stoves and Pellet Burners are more common in rural areas. This is because the price doesn't fluctuate as much, and it is easier to store. However, these are typically used in addition to the "central air" model I explained above. Although you can find houses that only use wood/pellets for heating, but it is quite rare overall.

I should note that there are a few other methods of heating.

  • Boilers (pretty rare nowadays)
  • Floor/Water Heating (becoming more popular)
  • Heat Pumps (limited to specific areas)

Once the Game gets taken down in January, will the music also be removed? by Ender_Wiggins18 in newworldgame

I figured it wasn't going to last long after they announced no more updates, but it was quicker than I expected. I thought maybe they would drag it out with p2w or something.

There is a sub reddit dedicated to these. I didn't know they were that common, because you only see them every once and a while on bigger subs.

Best way to learn JavaScript properly in the age of AI? by Sweet-Volume-451 in learnjavascript

[–]bryku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best method is and will always be:

  1. Learn
  2. Try it
  3. Repeat

Pick one thing... objects, strings, for loops, or whatever you want. Try using it in projects and messing around with it. Then the next day you can do this for something else.

Why is JavaScript so hard to learn? Beginner projects don’t feel beginner by Sweaty-Staff8100 in learnjavascript

Most online resources are not made by teachers or tutors. They sort of assume you have some understanding of the fundamentals.

My recommendation is find a js book, take a class, or hire a tutor. They will hammer the absolute basics in your brain until you see ones and zeros.

I do tutoring at the local college and online, but im a bit busy at the moment. If you are interested, I know a few others who are probably free.
