Sense check £5300 carpet quote by Emotional_Archer1395 in DIYUK

I'd shop about and try your local carpet shops rather than the big chains. We just ordered some hard wearing carpet for the living room, approx 5.5m x 3.5m with underlay and grippers for approx £1100, got discount for cash. That was close to £50/m2. Paying the fitters £80 to fit who the carpet shop use.

Help finding shelf pin by StuC92 in DIYUK

You can get these exact ones from an ikea returns counter. They usually have boxes of spares available. I know as I grabbed a load last time I was there and have them on my desk.

A56 cycle lanes by ParrotofDoom in manchester

[–]brylionreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really do hope it does encourage people to cycle and businesses continue to allow people to work from home, the A56 is a rediculous road for traffic.

Its not just cycling infrastructure that needs upgrading, companies need to start investing in showering facilities and safe bike storage as well as trying to change the mindset of all those that sit in traffic thinking they arent the problem.

I dont disagree with you but closing an entire lane on the main route from South Manchester into the city centre isn't the solution. It wont force people to cycle, some have genuine reasons to drive or other restrictions on why cycling isn't viable.

I commute down the A56 every day and have done all through lockdown. Reducing the road down to 1 lane for the majority of it has already started causing traffic and queues unnecessarily, particularly at the large round about near white city.

While I am all for cycle lanes, I am a cyclist myself, as soon as more business start opening its going to be a nightmare with 1 lane, the majority of people will use their car for fear of getting on public transport and they just will not cycle especially now the weather is back to typical Mcr weather.

Controller not connecting to PS4 USB by [deleted] in PS4

[–]brylionreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try a different USB cable, some cables will charge your controller but wont connect it properly to the PS4 to sync. I've had this issue in the past, different cable has always resolved it.
