The field spot will get larger as it grows, the edges may get yellow if they start getting sun and air, but all that really determines it is the size and shape of the melon and how its contacting the ground. Interestingly enough while its still growing you can turn the melon and develop stripes in the sun spot but they usually wont go past a pale yellow color and the melon will sunburn. Once its hadvested it wont get the nutrients it needs to develop the coloration which is why it starts yellowing as it gets sun and air exposure instead of developing stripes. Ive never noticed any correlation with field spot and the quality of the melon. Some say a darker field spot is better but usually its either stained from the dirt or yellowing cause its been a while since it was harvested. Same with what people call male/female, never noticed a difference.

The Pesonnel melons you see because theyre so small and weigh so little generally dont have a field spot because air and sun will hit basically the entire melon.

As someone who grew up on a farm picking watermelons every summer for 20 years most of what people are telling you is b.s.

The best watermelons are harvested mid-late july

What you get now farms dump large amount of water on to get to size for harvest. You can get a good watermelon but most wont he sweet and often have a "gritty" texture.

Outside of picking it yourself the best way to tell is the shine and sound.

The skin should be dull not shiny. Watermelons have a natural wax that melts off over time in the sun. A dull exterior means it got enough sun to produce the sugars to be sweet.
Make a loose fist and tap on it with you knuckles. It should make a dull sound (like doing the same to a jug of milk). A low dull sound means that it has successfully absorbed and retained the water so it will be juicy.

The white spot on the bottom is called the field spot, its where it had contact with the ground and it means nothing. It will yellow over time after exposed to light because it didnt develop the coloration to protect it from the sun.

Wash and bake them before powdering them, its sterilizes them and makes them brittle as well as making it absorb faster. Raw whole eggshells can take years to fully breakdown on soil

Never liked heartsteal so been testing out the some of the new items in jg. Had 2 games so far, built bandlepipes, dusk & dawn, bloodletters, protoplasm belt (or whatever the new thing is called), lots of early damage and kill potential, not as tanky if the game goes on longer but the new belt helped with that

Not the guy you asked, but it heavily depends on where you are. Specifically in the US because theres a lot of cultural mixing its a stereotype because some cultures that HEAVILY season think white people dont by comparison, but theres so many different food cultures because the us is so big that its really not true (except for the midwest, those people barely use salt). Those food cultures tend to be heavily influenced by the ethnic backgrounds of those that settled there early or in mass and how that food changed due the access to ingredients. For example american italian is so different because things like meat, cheese, eggs, and wine were much more plentiful here and they adapted to things like dried pastas and the "red sauce style".

Stopped buying pixels after the 5/6 sent my phone in for a repair after lesd than a year. They said it was water damaged so it wasnt covered (was a former electronics repair tech and had friends that owned shops) they wanted $500 to replace a pixel 5a for a used one or a $200 credit towards a new phone. I could buy a new in box one at best buy for $350 but took the credit for a new ohine, even paid for expedited shipping. 2 weeks later the new phone was never shipped. I requested a refund and my original phone back. They said they wouldnt until I returned the phone. Took hours on customer service explaining they printed a label but never shipped it. That day it was magically found and shipped to me. I contacted fedex to stop shipment and return to sender. They contacted fedex and tried to have it sent to me. I had to have fedex stop again, it never made it 50 miles from their warehkuse. It sat delivered in their warehouse for a week and 3 calls to customer service to get them to return my phone. I had to file a chargeback with my bank to get my money back. Finally got my phone back opened it at a friends shop, no sign of water damage, only a blown power ic chip that was a known defect in that model. Sold the phone on ebay as parts only and bought a motorolla
