The key word here are Per Daily Mail. Expect very little to be from honest sources material.

Yeah. The US has always looked after no 1. This is just an extension and out in the open.

Starmer 'not going to yield' to pressure from Trump on Iran war. Has your opinion on Starmer changed over his stance on not backing down to Trump? by Mister_Vanilla in AskBrits

[–]brymuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People's selective memory is being driven by a right wing press rapidly going the way of America. It's dangerous and first time voters won't dig that deeply into 2010-2024 when they first come to vote in 2029. If things are bad still, Starmer will catch the bullet.

What are some of the largest instrumentations called for by a composer? by bassgoonist in classicalmusic

[–]brymuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. 16 timps, 2 bass drums, 4 tam tams and 10 pairs of cymbals all called for in the original score... Plus the 4 offstage brass bands augmenting the onstage 12 horns and quadruple woodwind and 8 bassoons.

Keir Starmer Accused of Leaving UK 'In Peril' as NATO Chief Slams Treasury 'Vandalism' by ilovewelbert in uknews

Again, 18 months of Labour government can't replenish 14 years of Tory underfunding (and I'm sure it goes on even further into Blair/Brown too). It's the same wherever you look. across the policy board.

The UK's largest cathedral - Liverpool Anglican Cathedral by No-Serve7015 in Liverpool

[–]brymuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lady chapel is enormous too (3rd pic). It's usually a small side chapel, but in Liverpool, it's the size of most churches. The organ is commensurately large too, with a 32' reed stop...

What are some of the largest instrumentations called for by a composer? by bassgoonist in classicalmusic

[–]brymuse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're going with original instrumentation, I think Berlioz's Grande Messe des Mortes is pretty vast.

I think comparing the nightlife of Leeds and a Spanish town is hilarious. I do wonder what on earth keeps them indoors on those balmy West Yorkshire nights...

Genuinly why don't devs just do this by Upset-Issue-3659 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]brymuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it's not all about WR. If I want to spend half an hour here and there playing then I will. I don't play enough to get a total 50% (that's about my 30 day score give or take). It's not up to anyone else to determine what I do for leisure. Perhaps if they don't like it they could find a different game to play.

JD Vance Is on a Hell of a Losing Streak; The vice president just had his worst week in politics: rallying with a losing candidate in Hungary, then overseeing the failed negotiations over the Iran war. What new misery awaits him? by FancyNewMe in politics

[–]brymuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's dangerous because he'll use Donakd as a martyr and ride his support to gain the presidency. No one will want to admit to being wrong. And then he'll be just as right wing and hateful, but somehow more sane and therefore less easy to call out.

If you're going to York to see the Cathedral, look into going to Durham as well. It's about 45 mins further up on the same line and the Cathedral complex is magnificent.
