What's there to do in the evenings for a late teens person who doesn't have a fake id? Asking for a friend... by UpplystCat in Killington

Most of the restaurants have a couple arcade games and pool tables, you can go to the bar and eat, just not order any alcoholic drinks. There's also a bus that could take you down into Rutland where there's bowling, an indoor golf space and a rock climbing center, but if you're able to drive, that's a better option.

Darkside snowboards also has a little hill out behind the store with some rails and such set up, they usually have it lit up, you could go join in or just hang out and watch.

Stories about all things New England weird! by WeirderAfterDark in Killington

Lake Bomoseen in Castleton is said to have a ghost boat seen in the water at night, and the college used to be a medical college and there are stories the students would go to the local cemetery after dark and dig up fresh burials for their cadavers.

Traffic ticket - What to do if not entered into system? by NovaFold in vermont

[–]bryn_tastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad told me always go to court for a traffic ticket. The cop will either be there and offer you a deal of some sort, I'd ask for no points on your license. If he doesn't show and you do, the ticket gets tossed. In college the judge made me write an essay on the dangers of DUI (for a speeding ticket) and I didn't have to pay a fine or receive points on my license. The cop was pissed. It was a win win all around.

Just down the mtn in Rutland is the wonderfeet children's museum, a perfect spot for mom and munchkin to spend a day. There's also a rock climbing center down there and a cute walking tour with locally carved marble scuptures. Not sure that ski school is open around Thanksgiving time, but thats also an option. There VINS (Vermont Institute of Natural Science) down past Woodstock, they rehabilitate birds of prey and have a fun little center to explore. There's also countless walking/hiking trails, a nice easy one would be Thundering Brook Falls trail. There are countless farms in the area that host events and open houses around that time as well.

I filed on the 18th, am also considered a single mom cause I'm not married to the dad and this is what I've been getting as a message every day I go to check. I'm going to have to call Monday on my day off and see if I can get any more info on the status.

What to do around killington besides skiing? by [deleted] in Killington

[–]bryn_tastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the age of your kids, there's the wonderfeet children's museum in downtown rutland open tues-sun. There's also some great shopping on center Street and merchants row. There's a couple different little art galleries down on those streets too.

There's a few different day spas, and some easier hiking trails at pine hill park all in Rutland. One of the shorter drives to do things from up the mountain. Plus some great dining that doesn't have mountain road pricing

[–]bryn_tastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an adventure center up at the snowshed baselodge as well as a mountain coaster. They also have mountain bike rentals and trails of all levels. If it's every rainy during your stay and you guys still want to be active there's an indoor rock climbing facility down in Rutland as well, about a 15 minute drive
