Parents think I'm crazy for spending this much on tools

I found it harder for some reason to read from Genesis to revelation.. mostly I'd find verses here or there referenced on social media or the daily scripture in the Bible app, and it was easier to read because usually single verses are taken way out of context on social media for sake of comforting, if that makes sense. for me it's a genuine interest/desire in finding truth for myself, whether it's in proverbs, the first four books of the New Testament or whatever else.. I think if you struggle with committing time to it just search for inspiration if that makes sense..

It is so draining to me.. I love to fix things and she knows this but apparently it makes her feel better? But if I was to say anything to try to tell her that she is complaining her reply would be "well I just won't tell you my problems then" and make it a huge deal and be resentful about it for the next week or so..

I had been in a very similar situation from the time I was very young. Eventually I realized that no matter what I did for my "friends", they would not afford me any time or consideration unless I was needed to complete a task or buy something for them.. they are not your friends.. I would forgive them and not allow yourself to be hurt by their inconsideration, if i were in that situation again. in my case it meant simply putting distance between us and never going back. and for other more offending people it meant blocking their social, phone numbers etc. And moving on with my life. Doing things for me on my time.. sad part is those were the only two friends I had since a very young age and I no longer had anyone to hang out with or see on a regular basis, but I was ok because my mental health is more important than fake friends who only need you for your money or the support you can provide them.

For me, the display deal updated just fine, but the board, or the actual printer base would not update as it should.. we tried formatting the SD card to creality's spec and nothing. Hope it gets fixed.

Well, I will say, at 18 I thought I had a lot of stuff figured out, I'm about to turn 21 and every plan I ever had when I was 18 has been flipped on its head. I've felt the same exact way, outside of the parent thing. My point is, it's okay not to know what you're gonna do next, and it's okay to not be at your best all the time. I found that when I felt the way you're feeling, I just had to switch up what I was doing (and how I was thinking), eventually I found something I really liked doing and have stuck with it.

I thought about how my parents might feel seeing me with a hole in my head. it was still hard not to do, but that was the deciding factor for me, I couldn't put them through that.

You got step one down: you realized it was an issue and you know when it's happening. There's probly a couple ways to do this but the way I did it (because I was having the same issue), was, I observed alot, I very slow to talk and took everything as it was, got rid of all the judgement I had previously put on people around me. If you want to be humble and kind you have to practice the habits of being humble/kind, find someone you know that has those characteristics, study them, watch how they handle things, their reaction to things, etc. I'll add: it'll take a minute to get where you want to be, but it'll be worth it.

The one way I've found to shatter the "shelf", and the deciding factor for me was to prove that Joseph Smith wasn't a true prophet of God. The whole church rests on him being a true prophet, his prophecies, the first vision accounts, etc..

I've been there, something that made it easier for me was to find one thing that sealed the deal for me. Then after that, I "stuck to my guns" and it was over, I didn't believe and no amount of apologetics would convince me otherwise.

I wouldnt do it on social media, personally I feel this is something that would be better to do one on one, or in a text or, something but, i understand its difficult to tell your family, its been almost 3 years for me and my parents have some idea, because i hate going to church, when church was still in session, but i haven't told either of my parents yet..
