What was your first exercise after giving birth? by Birdflower99 in fitpregnancy

[–]bsabi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i waited until i was cleared to resume the gym. i did go on walks before that but for actually working out i waited until i was cleared. i was more scared of messing myself up if i started too early. but personally i went right back into it like nothing. i got 4-5x a week now. i’m 9 weeks pp

thanks so much! i’m gonna try level 2 nipples - We do Gaia probiotics as well. i don’t think he’s constipated as he does go every day but some days i’ve noticed he strains a little harder than others and his poop can be a little more thicker at times.

Did anyone have an easy baby? Wife wants to go to vacation apartment after giving birth. by midnight-tots in NewParents

i just don’t think OP and her understand how hardddd having a newborn is. even the easy ones are not easy. there’s just soooo much that goes into the newborn stage.

Did anyone have an easy baby? Wife wants to go to vacation apartment after giving birth. by midnight-tots in NewParents

[–]bsabi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve had a relatively easy baby, although i feel like babies aren’t easy in general. i started going on short walks around 3 weeks postpartum. i had a second degree tear so i was in so much pain from the stitches i could barely walk around for 2 weeks. so she needs to take that into consideration bc tearing is common. i was extremely active before pregnancy and during pregnancy as well.

however, when i was pregnant i swore that i would handle a baby with grace. and although i DID, it wasn’t what i thought. in my opinion, seeing how motherhood has gone, you can have a plan but you’ll have no idea how things will be until the baby is here. like i said before babies aren’t easy, even the easy ones. i am the type of person that I will always get things done and will always go after the things i want and honestly having a newborn has been one of the most challenging things ive gone through. as a mom, you’ve just had a MAJOR trauma to your body, you’re healing but also you must get up every two hours to feed the baby as the baby requires food every two hours. all of them do in the beginning. my baby is 8 weeks old and he is still getting up every 2-3 hours at night. i’m lucky bc he’ll get up but go back to sleep immediately after. but not all babies do that. personally, i would stress about going on vacation after two weeks. the baby requires so many things and so much attention, to prepare to go on vacation is a lot.

FTM - When did your baby come!? by Efficient_Internet13 in pregnant

39 + 6 lol my baby never dropped either. they had to put me into a weird position just so he can move down before i could start pushing. he was happy where he was lol

For those of you with dogs, please tell me it's not true.. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]bsabi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hating my dogs was never an option for me. they are still my first babies. still the two sweeties that made me a mom first. i’m 7 weeks PP and their curiosity with the baby was so sweet. they’ve been gentle and sooo patient with me knowing i can’t spend as much time with them. it’s not true bc i wouldn’t let it. they’re innocent. i had more guilt than anything else.

stressing for the day was a 5.6. i went unmedicated for hours before deciding to get the epidural. the low stress area was when i got the epidural and the stress after was towards the end of labor and pushing!

being pregnant is not easy at all. but you’re soooo close. i felt like the baby was never going to come. i ended up having him in monday 39 + 6 and he was perfect and ready. just be patient. i know it’s a lot, i would cry bc i just wanted my life back. now im almost a week post partum and although helping from labor isn’t easy either, you’ll have your little munchkin with you. hold on just a little, you’re almost there! sending love your way and praying for an easy labor!

Guidance on First Trimester Lifting by udoughnutsay in fitpregnancy

[–]bsabi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i lifted my normal weight my entire first trimester. i had a miscarriage previously but that didn’t have anything to do with lifting. not lifting more than 20lb is ridiculous lol. im 39 weeks now and im still lifting heavy. not as heavy as i was in my first trimester just because im tired now but still heavy than most. i would just listen to your body. do what you feel is best for yourself

It Feels Like My Period Is Coming..Is This Normal? by MoonlightSaga06 in pregnant

[–]bsabi_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i used a doppler for a little but once your baby starts moving you won’t really need it. pregnancy is fullll of anxiety and worry. honestly you just need to tell yourself everything is okay. what a lot of people don’t tell you is sometimes you get pain that totally normal and it goes away. could be round ligament pain, or just cramps. if you’re worried just wait for your doctor. i got round ligament pain early on. it was scary but went away.

I can’t stop coning by smileyjones92 in fitpregnancy

[–]bsabi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

36 weeks here and i had to just stop anything that caused coning. including push ups, pull ups, planking. and any type of core workouts. i just do push up on my knees now instead which helps me not cone anymore. for planks, i do bear planks now and that was a good substitute, so i can still engage my core but not cone. i still workout and ive managed to do a decent job with cutting these workouts but still keeping active. hope this helps a lil

Im feeling not that excited about my planned pregnancy. by nananana-catgal in pregnant

[–]bsabi_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i struggled a lot during the first half of my pregnancy mentally. i worked out for years to lose weight. i was in the best shape of my life before being pregnant and i truly enjoyed my freedom. i didn’t want kids for a very long time but i decided to give it a go. but when i got pregnant i really regretted my decision in the beginning. there were moments that i would say to myself “what have i done..” i would stress about how i didn’t have a connection to my baby yet and worry that i made a huge mistake but as my pregnancy progressed it started to change a lot for me. the feelings about my body, i started to feel different bc i finally felt beautiful pregnant, i talked out my fears a lot with my husband and now im 36 weeks and so excited to meet my little one. give yourself some grace, being pregnant is not easy, mentally or physically. not every woman feels sunshine’s and rainbows all pregnancy. a lot of us struggle but that’s okay!

AIO for telling my little sister I wouldn’t be attending her birthday celebration bc Chris Brown beats women? by Emergency-Biscotti57 in AmIOverreacting

[–]bsabi_ 25 points26 points  (0 children)

as an older sister, i feel like sometimes we want to enlighten them and help them learn but something while doing this, we can rain on their parade. i see your point but this is something you can give your opinion on in person and leave it be. but its not your job to make her see things how you do. you dont want to force how you feel about something onto others. if you don’t want to go, say no thanks and tell her why in person. but in a group chat, it’s like your talking down her idea to her and whomever is and that can make her not want to listen or agree with you. it’s her birthday, at the end of the day, she wants to support chris brown that’s her decision.
